The great tragic love story of Percy and me is neither great nor truly a love story, and is tragic only for it's single-sidedness. It is also not an epic monolith that has plagued me since boyhood, as might be expected. Quick review for a quick read (mostly). Thank goodness I finally finished this book. Let me make it clear that it wasn't for a lack of trying to get through this book - I liked it, but goodness I've had to fight to keep this book for how popular it was at my library for request. It's not a perfect story, but I found it entertaining for what it offered and appreciated much of what it showcased.

I know why the pairing of Percy and Monty is appealing, but I preferred the sweet, kind Percy as a chara

Even though I'm not a fan of historical fiction books, this one was hilarious and I can see why people have liked it so much! I can't wait for Felicity's book. I'm sure it'll be feisty and bad ass! Real review to come! ...more

At first I wasn't sure if I would like the main character Monty, but it turns out he is hard not to love. He is certainly a scoundrel, but with him you never know what to expect. ...more
