I almost cut one star for the pain the ending gave me but I gave it back because making me feel so much is again author's talent. The ending though may sting people but it is the right one because it is the way Tris would go. Also author's decision to switch to twin narrative seemed a little off to me at the beginning but towards and mid and end it seemed perfect as that way we were able to face two different scenarios at the same time. Well over all it was one of the saddest end of all the YA s

I first tried to read this book several months ago, but just couldn't get into it - I only made it about 25 pages before I set it aside. However, when I restarted it this month I enjoyed it a lot and couldn't figure out why I didn't like it the first time. I know many people didn't care for Allegiant, but I really enjoyed it. It had a different feel to it than Insurgent and I liked that - since even though I liked Insurgent it annoyed me. I think this was a good conclusion to the series.

Now I'm not going to go into to much depth on this book I found so much that I liked about it that I have to say I understand why I love it. My husband not so much, he read the first few chapters and said it was to badly written for him to read. He's more into Warhammer books and things like that.

I was a little hesitant about reading this book after reading some of the reviews. They kept saying to stop at the second one, and make up your own ending. I never choose a book because of the the reviews however, and I'm glad I didn't with this one. Yes, the book is extremely sad. Yes, I can't get it out of my head. And yes, I wish it could have had a happier ending. However, after thinking about it, and the two books before it, I can't help but think this is the best ending for the series. Hal

As far as books go this one isn't bad. I reccomend it to people who want to finish the Divergent series. I personally found the Divergent books went downhill after the first one. I might just be mad about the ending though. Overall this is my least fav book in the series. Don't take my word for it though. Disapointing endings just make me upset.

I really enjoyed this series! It was a good, easy and entertaining read and I liked the characters. I especially thought the Dystopian concept of mind control and behavior modification was interesting. I was sad by the ending, but any other ending would have been boring and predictable. Highly recommend!!

I'm not crazy about books that switch back and forth between characters' perspectives. ...and I found this one a bit predictable.
