What Members Thought
Set in occupied France, this is an awesome tale of survival, resistance, and love. Told from the perspective of two sisters from a broken family, this book has heart and I loved it!!
It took me a while to read, but it really was a great book, I loved the writing, the story was beautiful. Th historical detail was on point. Why did it take me a while to finish, well because it's one of those stories I feel that you need to really take your time and absorb.
The reading group I'm in chose this book for the month of April which made me happy, I had people I could read it with and share. You will laugh, cry and even get angry. But you will love it. ...more

An amazing novel. It truly breaks your heart.
Syrupy writing. Predictable story. I wanted to like the book, but it fell flat.
Wow! I have not cried this much over a book in years - if ever! All I can say to everybody is Read This Book!
