Manisha (sainimanisha422gmailcom) | 60 comments Okay so its a kind of love story, not the intantaneous kind .This guy Reiner Kulti is a famous(extremely) football player and the girl Sal's bein coached by him somehow .Its funny at places, a little motivating like how you shouldn't give up and all that I'm halfway through it you can read it too if you want. It's not that super heavy book with myriads of emotions like Me before you .

Let me guess you are more into love stories, aren't you? that makes you more of a dreamy kind of a girl, just a wild guess, no offense please

Yeah, you can say that. I guess. I'm not sure because some love stories do make me feel like ...yuck,yuck,yuck ...hahahaha. I'm a sucker for deprecating humour and I love paranomal fantasies my favourite being the Kate Daniels series. What about you? You're more of a close to earth girl or do you too love to live a fantasy while reading a book. And yes I love mystery books too . I mean I love Sidney Sheldon books .I'm going to read mistress of the night right after I finish The girl on a train.

I am more of a mysteries, thriller, paranormal kind of a girl, and less drama, love kind of a girl. I like fantasies and i live in my head most of the time but the fantasy read should be like "yeah..." not like " com'n, its never gonna happen". I hate Chetan Bhagat and love John green. I like reading Liane moriarity, agatha christie and harry potter series. Loved devotion of the suspect X. I liked Paulo Coelho's like the flowing river and the alchemist but by the river piedra i sat down and wept, adultery and Veronika decides to die, it was like blah, blah, blah to me :D. I liked Sidney Sheldon and started reading After the darkness, but i lost the book and i forgot somehow to read it again. My next book will be Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and playing dead.

I hate Chetan Bhagat too .Ok , not hate but I'm not a fan. After the darkness was a great great read . I don't remember the story word to word now though .I read it ,about 2-3 yrs back. I've been thinking about reading Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children too but haven't got there yet somehow. I recently finished the Study series .The first book was amazing .2nd book was fine then came the 3rd book and I was like "Noooooo...you can't be doing this" hahahahaha. I have read Paulo Coelho's books too . The Alchemist, I sat down by river Piedra and wept and The Valkyries. These too I read in 9th grade I guess and seemed a lot too much to take in ,you know too much philosophy and stuff but I'm soon going to start one again maybe this time I'll like it more. Forget everything Mohitha but you HAVE to read Me before You . It's beautiful , heartbreaking . I had this gloomy cloud hanging over me for 2 full days . I literally had to take breaks while reading this book . I cried so hard . I can't remember the last time I cried that much .Maybe this itself was one reason for cying ,you know "me not crying for quite some time" and I'm telling you I'm not a crier like I don't cry whenever I read a romantic book . I bet you'll cry too ....hahahaha ;)

message 14: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 31 comments Ok then me before you will be my next to-read book. I am a crier i must say that, i don't know why, but my eyes starts to sting when i see someone crying. i once thought it as my weakness. but i think its a good thing to cry for others. And when i read books i cry too, i get too absorbed and i cry. Last time was when i read the fault in our stars book, i was like "ohh myyyy gooddd, whyyyyy ? whyyyy? why this much pain?" " and my parents came running to my room and i was like " what? Its nothing", they thought i had a breakup or something, hhahahah :D they still embarrass me saying to everyone they know *weirdface*.....

Hahahahaha....I'd tease you too if I'd caught you. But I'm glad nobody caught me . Thank heaven I'm good at hiding ,whenever I would see someone coming I would just go under my safe cave (blanket). Though they did catch me with red eyes and even asked but atleast they didn't catch me sobbing because I read most of it at night and morning while everyone was asleep and then I could cry my heart out without hiding.Hahahahaha. Its scary now,how I don't want to even read a chapter of that book again coz I'm too scared. Okay I don't read too many at a time but I read fast . I can easily finish 1 book in 1 day. I did read three books at once one time but not after that . I usually read late nights like till 2,3or 4:00 am . My mum doesn't know though. Also I'm a little free right now . I just gave my 12th exams and am now giving entrance exams. What about you?

Mohitha | 31 comments iam doing my masters in technology.. i really want to spend more time reading but my tight schedule wont allow me. i read during free hours in class, while travelling and at night. ill be too tired at night yet ill read till 1 maximum. i ve classes early so sleeping less reduces my concentration in class. all my friends hate reading so going to library is not going to happen. ill multitask reading along with chatting... whewwww its really stressful coz sometimes when something is happening in the books ill go "ohhhh" or "ssss" and they will kill me :D

OMG I'm almost on the last part of the book "The Girl on the Train " and I'm super excited .Well I think its either Rachel or Tom .It really is a good book . I did get irritated in the beginning where rachel and Megan did almost nothing then the suspense kept building up. Poor Scott ,I really do feel bad for him and Anna that lady's crazy and complicated ,I guess even worse than both Rachel and Megan who already are a lot messed up. I feel you mohitha .(*sympathies*) hahahahahaha . I too don't have a single friend who likes to read and we've had quite some fights on this topic .They'll be like "Oh god ,tera fir gaya hai ? Who reads novels during lunch break ? and I would just give them the withering face because its impossible to explain how interesting the book is. But those days are gone now :( . Kinda happy and sad thinking about it now.Hahahaha.....Hmmmm so you really are a busy beeee . I don't like sleeping like really don't like it . I hardly ever sleep during day time and then I'll walk around everywhere like a zombiee.

message 22: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 31 comments I really liked this book. all three of them are messed up some way or the other. I really suspected scott and thought if its him then the story is really shallow. The goodness of the book is that till at the very end we have more than one suspect. The husbands secret is similar but shallower version of the girl on the train, in which i guessed what happened even before half of the book. What i really liked about the book is the narration. Especially rachels, because i really imagine life of others. But i don't hate her. Megan and Anna both of them are either a cheater or the one who caused to cheat. And i hate both of them. The story is more like as you sow so shall you reap kind. You are going to write the entrance exams right? Medicine or engg? because both these professional courses steal your time and you will not have anytime reading. My four years of engg was like i never even saw a book. Records assignments lab studies its hell. and now two more years of masters. Iam really liking kulti. Mariana Zapata, i haven't heard of the author until u suggested. Simple book is it? Finish the book i don't want to say anything spoiler. And lets discuss.

I was almost right . Damn ...it was Tom .You know I had my doubts the moment when Megan mentioned about her lover's 2 wives. I hated Anna and Megan too . True, they're bloddy cheats and I hate them for it . But the child killer thing, it was wrong . She didn't delibrately kill her daughter , did she ?. It was more of an accident . I really felt bad for Scott he was so supportive of his wife and all he got from everywhere were lies, lies and more lies. You know the narration sounded similar to the movie Gone Girl . Hmmmm Kulti's a nice book ,you know lightweight types . But in spots , even better is Susan Elizabeth Philips Chicago star series and my personal fav Dream a Little Dream .You should read the reviews. It was a beautifulllllllll book .Infact all her books are funny , calming and mind wrecking at the same time. Yup I'm giving both medical, eng and law and mass comm exams . I haven't yet decided or should I say I've not been able to decide . I'm interested in foreign language course too ,like really really interested but my family has big NO NO for this course...

message 24: by Mohitha (new)

Mohitha | 31 comments I was really interested in literature too. But my family thinks that it not worthy for a career oriented education. Even though the pressure and all things evil the professional course give you some confidence. Thank god i got u as a buddy, thats another suggestion of a good book. To say about 'the girl on the train'.... I mean Megan is so shallow for a girl, actually she was more like a man. She cant settle for just one man. Even though the 'child killer' thing was an accident, a mother will not be too negligent, irresponsible about her daughter. That is what motherhood is all about. She failed it and that accident happened because she was too selfish for herself. And as wife of scott what she have done is absolutely ridiculous because he was in love with her. And she never was, thats why she could cheat. She had more lust than love, and lust for feeling more younger and powerful, thats selfish too.
Anna thought only about her when she was having an affair with tom. She even actually thought she is helping tom to forget rachel. In whatever way having an affair with a married man will be a risk, if he can do it with his first wife, he can do it with anyone. Anna never thought this would happen to her as she forgot once her luster will begone and she will be the next rachel.
Rachel, she is the one i felt sorry about. She was an alchoholic, but her love for Tom was strong. I knew rachel can't be a killer as she can't hold an extreme grudge for anyone. I really liked rachel's side of story anyways, the narration through her eyes was that i liked the most.

Manisha (sainimanisha422gmailcom) | 60 comments Yeah! I think that too....I mean about Rachel, she was like extremely , head over heels in love with Tom and then mainly the root of the drinking problem was her infertility as we know. She was at fault at a lot of places mainly letting down Cathy all the time but then no one's perfect.
