The time is in the 12th century during the third crusade. It is based in the 'Assassin's Creed' world where you can be ether Templar, Assassin or whatever you like!
On one side is the Templars, the invaders who ravage the 'Holy Land' to find the illusive Apple of Eden. Their purpose is to gain control over the masses any way possible by insuring fear, torture and hatred.
