I have read it as well, but I think it will be fun to take it much slower. this time. I have never taken this long to read a book.

C - California - Farewell, My Lovely - 2/9/21

I just finished Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler. I liked it more than The Big Sleep. Really liking this kind of writing. And I will say it again that his use of metaphors and similes constantly awes me.

Since the posts will remain available, you can really finish it any time and add your thoughts to the posts. But we will start the next section (Vol 1 Books 5-8) March 1st. I will open up that post on March 1.

This discussion post will be about the beginning of the book, including the Preface through the fourth book of the first volume.

I have added it to the list as a comment. I debated getting it into the list, but to do that I would have had to redo the whole bottom part of the list in my own name. I felt that Charity deserved to have that honor.

It's your challenge so you can do it however you want. Might be much more challenging to do it in order. Personally I plan to just make sure i get as many as I can without regard to order. I will start my thread with all the letters and fill them in as I read them with the edit button.

Main Street by Sinclair Lewis. Not a bad read. A little boring in spots, but I think that was the point.... the place was BORING! At least to the main character, Carol.

No, the GR rating doesn't mean anything on the LISTOPIA lists. Its order is totally determined by reader votes.
