In regards to City of Bones: I wasn't crazy about the first book. And I'm also not a huge fan of Clary and Jace. I've grown more attached to the secondary characters--Simon, Izzy, Magnus, Alec. And I didn't really start becoming attached until I read City of Glass. I think it was City of Lost Souls, plus the entire Infernal Devices trilogy, that solidified my love for this series. It isn't my NUMBER ONE FAVORITE but it is definitely up there.

As for me? I have to pick The Selection by Kiera Cass. I don't hate, I don't even dislike with a passion, I just find the books very lackluster. And very superficial. I wanted more from those books--more rebels, more world building--but the romance is basically the entire plot. This isn't always a bad thing, but Cass could have made this series so much better, if she took the time to flesh out her world and her characters.

Yeah, that's more or less how I pictured it, too. Strong electrical storms, but more localized than widespread.
95766 Hey guys! Just thought I'd ask if anyone has started/already read this book. If you haven't, I suggest you give it a try. I loved it!

If you've read this book already, feel free to discuss. Let me know what you think of the world that Perry and Aria live in. Do you consider this book Dystopian? I think I've always thought of this series as more of a sci-fiesque adventure tale. But we can certainly discuss!

95766 I would kiss, then slap him, especially with how he reacts to something that happens in the second book. He can definitely be frustrating. ;)
