926 Oooh, I've been wanting to read The Moonstone ever since I read (and fell in love with) The Woman in White. Let me know what you think of it?

926 Best of luck!

926 I've only read Plain Truth of these, but really enjoyed it. Hope you will too.

926 Yup. The only requirement is that the book is on your TBR list/shelf by January 1st, 2010. Have fun!

926 Finished And Then He Kissed Her and wasn't too impressed by it, unfortunately. It was a lot more superficial than I'd expected it to be.

926 Welcome Dessa! I look forward to seeing your list! :)

926 Finished Assassin's Apprentice and loved it! Very brilliant book :-)

926 Finished Goodnight, Beautiful. Not as good as My Best Friend's Girl, but enjoyable enough.

926 I was unfortunately rather disappointed by By the Time You Read This. I'd expected something poignant like PS, I Love You but it didn't even come close. It was okay reading for a lazy afternoon, but nothing more.

926 Finished The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and LOVED it! I couldn't put it down :-)
Feb 13, 2009 12:51AM

926 Finished The Stepford Wives. A bit disappointed about the non-ending, but otherwise a really good book!
Jan 02, 2009 04:58PM

926 Finished The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and am still digesting it. What a book...
Jan 01, 2009 12:57PM

926 Finished Farthing by Jo Walton. Very different from what I'd anticipated, but interesting!
Dec 28, 2008 02:55PM

926 I've read "My Best Friend's Girl" by Dorothy Koomson and absolutely loved it, so I have high hopes for "Goodnight, Beautiful".

926 Interesting. I hadn't thought of that. You're very welcome to start such a thread :)

926 Aaaand now I'm behind schedule. I've only read one since May! That doesn't mean I haven't read any owned-unread books though... just different ones ;)

I finished "Dragonflight" yesterday and really enjoyed it. "Dragonsong" and "Dragonsinger" (of the Harper's Hall trilogy) are both better though.

926 Personally I love Stephenie Meyer's series, but it's a series that very much divides people into "love it" and "hate it", so I while I think it's worth reading (obviously, since I fall in the former group ;) ) it's probably best if you read it without too high expectations. It's not "high class lit" - it's YA and should be taken as such.

I thought The Book Thief was okay, but not amazing.
