As for BC... *exhausted sigh* It's just been one disaster after another. Covid is about the same as ever...the citizens over here make me question what social distancing even is. :/
British Columbia is now in a state of emergency thanks to the flooding. Pretty much all of the lower mainland and the island are flooding. More than 20 acres of land from an old drained lake is submerged under water. At least, that's what I last heard a couple days ago. A lot of places are evacuating.
One of my mum's friends just got her horse saved from drowning a few days ago. It's easy to forget that it's not just human lives that are in danger... I'm praying for everyone who isn't as lucky as I am to live up on a hill. Three highways are completely destroyed, and are quite possibly going to take months to repair.
I have no clue how the folks from Lytton are doing... I can't imagine what it's like to have an entire town burn to ash (no exaggeration) in under 15 minutes...

So yeh, it's basically one shit show after another atm for us. ;u; Praying that thing's will calm down in January.

How's things going on in Alberta? All I ever hear about is the flooding down here in lower BC. Is the covid situation getting any better? I heard a few months ago it became the biggest hotspot in Canada a few months back, but I've heard nothing since late September, early October.

But I have given a thing for everyone: the owner if the island's leader is on charge of everything related to it. Mine is Air and I'm slow bc I have z e r o ideas, therefore I'll need to rack at my brain again. This is part where I'm really bad at world building. I can never do the specifics. I'm jelly of everyone who can go into depth. *cri*

...that's what you guys said last time I asked for help with this group over a year ago. Nothing happened so I eventually had to do it myself. After 6 chances, I just can't bring myself to believe this time is going to be any different. Asking for help takes a huge strain on my pride, and when it's injured, I walk away from the entire project. I gave up on this group a long time ago, so I don't really care what happens anymore. No one followed the minimum post rule of four lines, anyways. Might as well change it to four sentences instead.

The biggest disappointment is my current state. I'm not able to do any kind of moderation. My emotions are always getting in the way. I have built the respect people have for me as a leader since I was a little girl. I don't want to damage the one thing I am mildly positive about... The best leaders have to push their feelings aside and think from everyone's perspective. Allowing your own emotions to make decisions allows a chance for disaster. Yes, it is needed to let some of your emotions be considered but the decision is to make things better for all parties, including yourself. Most of all, you must believe that your decision will meet a good outcome.

The way I had to learn these skills took a nasty bashing on my confidence and gave me even more trust issues. This collab was me trusting others to help me. Y'all don't get it means when I have to step on my pride and ask. My pride is my emotional shield and because of everything going on in my life right now, my shield has been obliterated. Literally anything can trigger me now. That's why I can't do any moderating. It brings up personal issues and a desire to make rules against stuff. However, I do believe a rule against romanticizing serious mental health problems and trauma should be a rule would be a smart thing.
