88432 Thanks everyone for another great UNO challenge session I can't believe it has already come to an end!

Best of luck on your other challenges, and hopefully I'll see you guys next year for more UNO ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-

Oh this is my 3rd time reading this series, my fave from the series is Scarlett.

Sounds good though. I figured I would just give you a heads up in case you needed another book. :)

88432 I'm done with mine.

Also I'd been reading/listening to Cinder in the last little bit but wasn't sure if it would be needed. I can easily finish it by tomorrow, would this count towards MPG retelling (I'm not sure). But just in case, it can be added if needed.

88432 I added Assistant to the Villain to Part 2, as I'm not sure if I could make it work for what was left in Part 1, the cover has a picture of apples on it, a frog, and weapons, and even some potions on it I assume any of those could be used, or something else might work as well.

Oops, I thought I had tagged that shelf. Anyway it's updated now.

Did you want to keep my book on Black cover or would you like it switched to Herb?
Feb 20, 2024 07:39AM

88432 Cool, I'll switch it to that one then :)
Feb 20, 2024 07:20AM

88432 I have a question of placement - the book I'm currently reading Shadow Queen, it covers a couple of options for the mini - it covers N for the authors name, it has a black cover with more than 50% black, it also has a reference for "herb", just wondering if there was a particular category you guys would want it to go in that might be harder to cover than others.

So brave of you to take on Dune. It's a classic! I read it after seeing the movie, which I think helped me to keep reading, even when the ending seemed so far away. I'm not a fan of sci-fi, bu..."

Honestly, I wasn't planning on reading it for this, and then my friend told me that we were going to see Dune pt 2 at the end of the month together for a pre-screening she got tickets for, so I needed to get on reading the book and then watching the movie, she was very particular about the order. I am listening the Audiobook as I work, so I assume I'll get through it in a few days (hopefully). I mean I also have the physical copy so I have been reading it in between as well.

88432 Perfect! That works for me! 😊

88432 Hey guys!!! Excited for this thing to start and as expected the books I’m starting with are not the ones I was planning earlier in the month 😅.
Anyway, I’m was looking back through the posts to see if this was answered but couldn’t find it, when we finish a book do we just post the books on here or are we supposed to update the google doc as well. Lol every year it changes depending on the group so just wanted to make sure I was doing it right ☺️

88432 I am so impressed with this list of goals and think it would be amazing if you were able to accomplish them, okay even some of them. Having goals is great especially reading ones.

88432 I legitimately have a long list of books that I want to read, but also know that when Feb 1st comes around I may lose interest in reading those books at that time and have others that interest me instead. So as much as I would love to plan in advance it just will not happen (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

88432 Hey!! Always so excited when this challenge comes around every year. I think this might be my 7th year doing this, or 6th something like that.

Anyway, quick blurb about me, I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I work full time, I train Brazilian jiu jitsu another part of the time. That's about as exciting as it gets for me.

I am a complete mood reader, if I try and plan too far ahead what I'm going to read, I'll probably not read it. So I read according to my mood. I'm on a weird romance kick for books right now, although my favourite genre is probably Fantasy, or SciFi, or YA, although I always enjoy a good mystery or thriller as well.

Looking forward to starting this reading challenge again!

88432 Thanks for being a great team! And thanks Annalisa and Felicity for taking care of all the logistics of being caption and co-captain and always being quick to answer our questions.
I have taken part in other challenges but UNO has always been my favourite. Hopefully I'll see you guys again for next years UNO challenge. :)

88432 Just as heads up the book Hold Me Today also takes place in the US (Boston to be specific). Just thought I’d add that as well.

88432 I can cover 5. Read a book that is not suitable for children. with this book: Hold Me Today (Put A Ring On It, #1) by Maria Luis
Had started it like a week ago, but wasn't sure if I would use it for this challenge. I'm like half way through it, so I can just finish it, so it covers #5

88432 Question, would this have enough white to be considered a white cover?
The Name of the Star (Shades of London, #1) by Maureen Johnson
I was going to read this next but I wasn't sure if would work the remaining tasks
