88432 So I am currently reading Death Sworn Death Sworn (Death Sworn, #1) by Leah Cypess , I thought I was going to finish it earlier but I don't think I will finish it until tomorrow, because of that it can be used for the mini challenge.
So far it would cover the following numbers:
10. Read a book where a character is guarding somebody/something
24. Read a book with the publication date (the first publication date or that of your edition) containing the number 4 - March 4, 2014
14. Read a book with the page count containing the number 4 (344 pages)

88432 So, I'm not sure about all my books but I was planning on reading Daughter of Dusk Daughter of Dusk (Midnight Thief, #2) by Livia Blackburne which is part of the The Midnight Thief series (#37)
This book could potentially cover other cards, but I'm not 100% sure at this point.
I also had this book on my list to read next: In the Time of Dragon Moon (Wilde Island Chronicles, #3) by Janet Lee Carey In the Time of Dragon Moon. I read the previous books and there are dragons featured throughout the story. And it has a dragon on the cover (this is for #5 I believe). That's all I got for now. I'll claim more later.

88432 So just to clarify, we only post our reads on this thread, and we don't have to add it to the spreadsheet?
Every year, it has changed from group to group, so I just wanted to make sure I was understanding correctly. (。◕‿◕。)

88432 So, I think I was planning on starting with this book: Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief, #1) by Livia Blackburne
Not sure if there is enough blue in it. This is a re-read for me from years ago, I know the place the store takes place in starts with F, and I think one of the characters has a name that starts with F (It's been a while so I can't quite remember)

Also, I'm not always great at planning the books before I read them, I tend to be more of a mood reader.

88432 She definitely tends to lean towards fantasy type of books, but if I had to recommend one it might be Vicious just because this one is more of a mix of genres.

Felicity wrote: "Hi Jen,

Welcome to the team. I just loved The Invisible Life of Addie Larue but have never read anything else by V. E. Schwab. I am not a big fantasy reader but the book just hooked me and I thoug..."

88432 Hey All!

I started writing a post yesterday, and but then for some reason it wouldn't post so I'm trying again today.

So my name is Jen, I am from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. This is I think my 6th year doing this challenge, and I always enjoy it.

Let's see I work full time as a Quality Assurance Analyst, other than reading in my spare time I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, so it all keeps me fairly busy.

I was trying to think of some of my favourite books that I read from last year and I think The Lunar Chronicles (series) ended up being a favourite, as well as Gallant by V.E. Schwab, was a great read but I generally love most of her books. There were several others but that's all I can think of for now.

Oh and here is a link to my shelf uno-2023

Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer
Book: Scarlet
Author: Marissa Meyer

Rating 4/5 Stars

Normally, I'm not the biggest fans of fairytale re-telling type of books, but this book does a good job of having aspects of the fairy tales without it over taking the story. A really good read.

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
Book: Daughter of the Burning City
Author: Amanda Foody

Rating: 2/5 Stars

I wanted to like this book I really did, but honestly I only felt frustrated by it. The MC was so easily manipulated and that alone annoyed me a lot, she really allowed people to tell her what to think and made that her opinion based on those things.
The world didn't really feel fleshed out, and neither did the characters, the MC has powers but those also felt inconsistent.
The plot twists while some being predictable also felt like they were being spoon fed to you, kind of like "oh the story is almost finished here's who did it"
