But it looks like it's Choose Your Own Adventure style and we need to choose a path...

Apr 7
1. Book 1 of Series
3. Char. Uncle Henry
5. Char. Laura Ingalls
8. Char. Aunt Eliza
Skip. Location: Pepin, Wisconsin"
I've read this if we need it for a reverse.

When you are rearranging March, I think this book will count for green...if you need it. It's approx 54% green. I read it in March, just in case it's helpful.

It sounds tedious and takes some of the joy out of reading. "I'd like to start this, but I'm not sure if it will count and I haven't heard from the captains group..." I think the challenge for me is how to share this feedback (even for next year) without seeming like we're complaining about something the mods and captains have put a lot of work into.
It's a fun challenge, but knowing for sure which colors would count would make it more enjoyable/easier to participate.
Again...thanks to the mods/captains for working through this.

Cards:
0- char Zach
3- char Harry
4- char Charles Fraith
8- location Evesham
Skip- char Phyllis
Cover- works for blue (both tineye and it actually looks blue 😉)

I have two others that seem obviously red that tineye won't count. I would like it if the team just agree "yep, that looks green" and we could trust each other's common sense. (For whatever my opinion is worth)
Were we able to find another green book for March?
(Note: not meaning for this to sound gripey. I still think it's been fun... I'm just sharing my experience with the colors.)

If you have time, let me know what they think. Not the end of the world if they don't "count" for red, but we have so many red cards!

At least it's working for someone! 😂

🤷
(ROAR especially. It looks Scarlet red! The other is a little bit orangey... but still red to me.)
P.S. Happy April, everyone! 😉

A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck

1-first book in series
5- setting Illinois
6-char Shotgun (Cheatham)
7-char Vandalia
8- char Effie, Ernie, Eubanks
Cover -works for blue
Note: Most people have this shelved as young adult, but I thought it seemed on the "young" side of young adult, so I double-checked the word count. It was over the required 25,000 words.

That would be great! Post here if you don't think you'll get through it. I could always finish mine and we could try to reshuffle as a plan B.

I'm reading a book for 6. Amani's blanket book will suit 4
So 6 and 3 is needed"
Okay, I'll do The Horde Rises: Total Apoc Trilogy for a 3."
I'm struggling to come up with a 6. I could probably finish Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi tomorrow... I have about 70 pages left, but it doesn't work for six. 😕
Could we rearrange somehow?

I'm curious too.... I've got a short book with a blue cover here. I could read it in a day, but thought I'd save for April.
