Same Laura, I’ve never DNFd a book! I’ve finished the miniaturist just now Robin, rating it 3 stars. I liked the characters but found I couldn’t picture much else very well. The story was good and unique. Will recommend to historical fiction hardcores but not many others
Friendly reminder, as of right now we have just over 17 hours left before we can start reading! please hold off starting anything until after this point :)https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...
Desperately trying to finish both my current reads - The Miniaturist and Weyward - hopefully get at least one finished, ready to start some more tomorrow!
Hi mehrnoush! Welcome to the team, thanks for being a replacement for us! Can’t wait to get started. I need to finish the miniaturist and I’m good to go!
Weve got all month to cover it so no drama right now :) So hard to plan what I want to read next knowing I need them finished before the 1st!
Insiyah and Robin, you've both put down for yellow 8 to cover the WD4 but we can only dupe it once. Can one of you cover one of the others, or well have to chalk it off this month and use it for something else?
Oh Robin. So sorry for this, must be such a difficult time! Take your time and dont worry about us, we'll be here for when your back.
Hi all,Just FYI I am away with work this week until Friday so wont be checking in until then.
We are all set up and good to go for the start so no dramas there.
Insiyah - please can you keep an eye out if Shannon does/doesn't check in with us and let the mods know in the captains chat either way! She has until the 25th. Hopefully she drops in and we wont need to request a reserve :)
Have a great week everyone.

When I was at Uni my friend went to camp in America for the summer and they were all the rage but hadn't quite got the hype in the UK yet. So we binged them and I was HOOKED!!
Harry potter is my go to, was obsessed for a number of years, and to an extent still am. Similar with Hunger Games. I think I'd still rate these highly on a re-read but I will not touch Twilight again. I know they will be 2 stars now, but happy to think of them as 5 stars from when I read them at the time.
There's something you might pick up about me and that's I cant like something a sensible amount. I either GO HARD or I'm just not really interested!

I went down a bit of a Colleen Hoover hole last year and after reading 9/10 of them and only loving 2, I've decided I dont actually need to read them at all. One of them infact is the worst book I've ever read, but the less I talk of that the better :)
