88432 I think we should be all set with the color cards. Thanks for adding those!

88432 Welcome, Jenny! It’s great to have you on the team!

I’m heading out to a beach trip tomorrow, so I won’t be checking in as much during the next week (need to keep those roaming charges in check). But I’m bringing 3 books with me and a loaded up Kindle, so hopefully I’ll get a lot of reading done 😊

88432 Welcome, Tati and Stacie! Excited to have you on the team!

88432 I have like 20 minutes left in my audiobook, but I held off finishing so I could add it to the mini challenge tomorrow :)

88432 I am going on a trip later this week and am planning on bringing The Thursday Murder Club (Thursday Murder Club, #1) by Richard Osman , which Heather, I think you read. I'll take a look through my other books to see what other reverses I can add.

Sarah, thanks for those recos! I'll try to get my hands on The Nightingale :)

88432 I've heard nothing but good things about The Women. I've never read any Kristin Hannah, though, and I feel like I can't keep pushing that off. Sarah, do you have a favorite of hers that you'd recommend to start with?

I'm currently reading Butcher & Blackbird (The Ruinous Love Trilogy, #1) by Brynne Weaver and it's going slower than I'd like. It's clever and very different, but comes off a bit juvenile at times, which is jarring given the setting. I'm also listening to They Come at Knight (Nena Knight #2) by Yasmin Angoe , which has been fast paced and thrilling.

The mini should be starting soon, so hopefully it'll get posted in the next day or two 😊

How's everyone else's reading going?

88432 I've never tried these book blind dates, but they sound fun! I like the idea of adding them to the LFL. I'd also be kind of scare of getting a book I couldn't get into.

88432 I am not sure that Fourth Wing will pass as a yellow cover, but I'm double checking on that.

Sarah, I think you should be fine with the Christina Lauren book if it's 101 pages.

88432 First Lie Wins is on my list, too! I'm going to start Carl's Doomsday Scenario tomorrow. I read the first book in the series a few months ago and absolutely loved it. I'm also hoping to start Butcher & Blackbird soon - have heard a lot of good things about it.

So excited to finally start the challenge!

88432 I hear you on the mood reading - I’m the same. As long as we keep tabs on which of our reads might be able to fit a color card, I think we should be fine. I feel like I have a couple of options for the open color cards that I could probably get to.

And yeah, I can’t believe we are only a couple of days away! Do you all have your first read of the month lined up? I’m traveling abroad to a beach with no internet, so I’ve already started planning which books I’ll be bringing 😊

88432 Wow, 1000 books!! That's impressive. Do you do a combination of formats?

88432 I'm the same with the mood reading! As much as I like to plan in advance, my plans inevitably change.

Sarah, I hope you enjoy Homegoing! I really liked it - it packed in so much in a relatively short book.

One read that I'm excited to get into, and that'll fit nicely with our Skip Green card in February, is They Come at Knight. I read the first book in the series last year and loved it! It was an action packed crime novel, which I feel like will be a welcome change from my heavier/fantasy reads of late.
They Come at Knight (Nena Knight #2) by Yasmin Angoe

What's everyone else excited about for next month?

My name is Kelly :) This is also my third year participating in the Uno Challenge and I just like it SO MUCH! I love all the challenges, discovering new books and meeting new people ..."

Welcome, Kelly! While our LA weather is by no means cold, I'm jealous or your Brazil summer!

88432 Ah, I've never seen a tracking sheet like that. This setup allows us to plug and play the books as needed. And at the end of the month, we'll be able to easily move things around, as we'll know the different cards a read is applicable to. So there's no need to plan to read a specific card, outside of the color cards, till we're closer to the end of the month and start seeing what we're low on.

Once we start adding books in, it should be a little easier to follow. But we can certainly talk through any questions as they come up!

88432 Hi Robin! The team spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...) linked in the first post includes all of the cards per hand details. Heather and I will be updating this as completions come in.

The tracking spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...) includes the details of how many 0s, 1s, 2s, etc. we need in rows 10-12. So as we start assigning each read to a card, row 11 will note how many more of each card we need for the month. I added an example in row 28 for extra context.

Hope that helps!

88432 Hi team! Excited to kick off Uno soon!

I'm the team's co-captain, and this is my third Uno challenge. Heather is the one who introduced me to Uno, so I'm excited to be doing my third challenge with her as the team captain!

I live in the LA area with my dog, Chorizo, who is a cute handful. I really enjoy reading romance, fantasy, and mysteries/thrillers. I'm new to the horror genre, but it's really been growing on me. Outside of that, I love keeping up with movies and shows and have recently gotten into Legos and coloring books.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
