88432 Karen, is this author D or V? For Love's Sake (Edwardians in Love, #1) by Leonora De Vere De Vere

If not, I do have two other "V" books - one set in Vermont the other with a major character Violet Parker.

88432 Pretty covers are why I still much prefer reading a "real" book although e-books are handy when you are reading a steamy one in public, LOL.

88432 They might be a bit old school but how about some Enid Blyton books like The famous five or secret seven. Or Anne of Green Gables. I think she was around 12 in the first book.

That's another one that has been languishing on my TBR. I'm going to try and read it during UNO... we can then use it as a reverse so double score. Did you like it Karen?

88432 That's a great idea Karen. It will be interesting to see what links you guys can find with my space smut, LOL.

I'm going to move that Kate Morton up the list, good you enjoyed it. I haven't read any of hers yet so I'm excited to start.

Karen, do you read Kate Forsyth another Aussie author? I really enjoyed her last book Beauty in Thorns by Kate Forsyth about the English Pre-Raphaelite painters and the women who were their muses. It's literary fiction... but readable. I was in Canberra last weekend and they have some of the paintings that were highlighted in the book on loan from the Tate in London at the NGA. It was amazing to see them especially after reading about them.

88432 Oh don't worry Laura. I'm sure once we start playing this thread will liven up. Australia is still in School Holiday mode and we have our Australia Day Weekend coming up so not so much time for reading.

I've got three books I've got to finish in preparation for Uno to start. My favourite book so far is Hidden Worthiness (Pagano Brothers, #2) by Susan Fanetti by Indie writer Susan Fanetti. I very rarely give 1 star so nothing there but my disappointing book so far was Don't Tell (Romantic Suspense, #1; Chicago, #1) by Karen Rose , I've heard such great things about this series and it was pretty mediocre. I'm hoping the series will improve as I've signed up for a buddy read/one book a month and there about 18 in the series.
