Additional tips -
Please use a book link, if possible. If it's not possible, please include the author's name. We want to make sure to include the correct books! You can add a synopsis from the books Goodread's page, if you like, but it is not necessary.
Directions to add a book link:
This can only be done when online and not when using an app.
When typing in the text box, on top of the box there is a link that says "add book/author". Click on that and a new box will appear. Type your book name in the space provided and click on "search". When you see your book, click the "add" button to the right of it.
To add a link that just has the book name, you can click "link" at the bottom of the "add book/author" box. The link is the automatic setting. To add a book cover, click on "cover" at the bottom left.

Then, if other members want to read with you they can agree to a buddy read.
You choose a date, start a new thread in this Buddy Reads folder for the book and discuss.
Make sure you add the title of your book and a date to your thread so others that want to join the discussion know when you're reading.

It has 3 tabs with 3 different options.
To copy:
- open the link
- click on the arrow next to the tab name you'd like to use (January 1/ J 2 / J3)
- from the small window that opens select the option "Copy To"
- select option "New Spreadhseet"
- when you see the message "sheet copied successfully" click on the link "open spreadsheet".
- you have your own copy now. The only thing you need to do is in the top row to click onto "untitled spreadhseet" and change the name to your own choice.

If you have any questions concerning tasks, need book recommendations, etc, post them here.
Please remember that this is a self-directed individual/team challenge, so players are in charge of putting together a team with a maximum of six members.
If you'd like to find other players to form a team, please use this thread. It may help to share how many books/month you are reading (just to make sure each team member can take on a few tasks at least).
Also consider that there are 90 obligatory + 30 bonus tasks altogether.
Once you have a team, and have chosen a name, please create your own thread or shout out if you need help with it, and make a copy of this task sheet.

◈ 1 book covers 1 task only.

In honour of J.R.R. Tolkien's upcoming birthday on 3 January what better way to celebrate and remember him by than launching a challenge in 2025 January?
This is a self-directing, open-ended challenge and it's up to you whether you'll go on this Road alone or as part of a team.
You can also decide whether you'll be using a copy of the provided google sheet template or simply list and tick off tasks within a post.
