IT'S A PERKS EASTER READ-A-THON
![]()
As a group let's see what we can read in the month of April and have a Read-A-Thon with a twist!
How this works...
* Each book needs to "connect" to Easter. We have provided a list of words (in the next post) for ideas
* As soon as you have a book that you have read in April 2015 that can connect to Easter, post it with the reasons it "connects" and the running points tally for you, and for the group for the month, and let's see how many books we can read and connect in the month!

◈ For each task completed, your team receives a "March Bonus" of being able to chose one card in any hand for the duration of the challenge (Feb 1 - April 30) that you can claim double points for
◈ Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands
◈ You can't use the same book for more than one task, or component of a task. For example, if you have a book by an Irish author that is also set in Ireland, you can only use it for one of those components of Task 5.
◈ Books read between march 14 and 31 count for this mini challenge
◈ The usual book length rules apply, Books must be more than 160 pages in length and Children's books and Graphic Novels can not be used unless by word count they can be verified as more than 40,000 words using arbookfind.com
◈ Team spreadsheets will be updated with a March Mini Challenge tab so that you can track your books and claim your tasks
◈ Spell it out rules are: Spell out the word(s) using the first letter in the book’s title or series name, the first letter in the author’s first or last name, or the first letter of a character’s first, last, or nick-name. If the first letter of a title starts with ‘A’, ‘An’, ‘The’, etc., you may use the first letter of the second word in the title to spell out your word.

IT'S A PERKS ALPHABET READ-A-THON
![]()
As a group let's see what we can read in the month and have a Read-A-Thon with a twist!
How this works...
* Each book needs to follow the alphabet from the last one posted
* The Alphabet letter can be based on by genre, author, title, character names, narrator etc.
* As soon as you have a book that you have read in March 2015 that can connect to the last one, post it with the reasons it follows the alphabet and the running tally for you, and for the group for the month, and let's see how many books we can read and connect in the month!

Books need to be marked as "read" between March 1 and March 31, 2015. (It doesn't matter when you started)

Don't forget only books >160 pages count, so a few of them may not be able to be used (I have highlighted on your spreadsheet)

Hi Alejandra - I have added you to team Nightmare Before Christmas!

You can count all her books read since Feb 1.
Also, sorry to say that Rhonda has had an unexpected emergency and has had to leave the game. You can continue to count the books she had already read in Feb.

I have copied all the randomised cards to your March tab of your spreadsheets - hooray!
NOTE: There are 13 hands for March to stretch your reading goals even further!
