Here is the countdown to the April hands for UNO. Books can count for April that are marked as read from April 1, 2016 at 7pm AEDST. (They can be started at anytime from the start of the challenge, i.e. March 1)Click here for countdown

Some important points as we get to the end of the month:
Books started after March 1 count for this challenge including those from your new team members
The "memories" March mini challenge is for books started after March 14
The Bonus Easter challenge is for books started after March 25
I have messaged Philippa, but I'm not sure of the status of your captain. Jessica has been doing a great job stepping in, but it may be nice if someone else would like to also volunteer to be co-captain and help her out :)

~BONUS Easter Mini Challenge~
This is an optional and BONUS mini challenge for our UNO players for Easter! Books with a read date from Friday 25 March until 31 March count.
Easter Scavenger Hunt
Find these words... they are all products used to naturally dye eggs for Easter
For each book your team reads that contains one of these words in the text or title (plurals are acceptable), you can claim DOUBLE points for one of your cards.
Your TEAM can claim EACH WORD only once and you can only claim ONE word per book. This means your team has the ability to claim up to 20 cards as double points. Wow!!

IT'S A PERKS ALPHABET READ-A-THON
As a group let's see what we can read in the month and have a Read-A-Thon with a twist!
How this works...
* Each book needs to follow the alphabet from the last one posted
* The Alphabet letter can be based on by genre, author, title, character names, narrator etc.
* As soon as you have a book that you have read in the month that can connect to the last one, post it with the reasons it follows the alphabet and the running tally for you, and for the group for the month, and let's see how many books we can read and connect in the month!
