One question about traveling to other boards: can I return to my main board after I've traveled another board entirely and passed the GO square or do I have to land precisely on the GO squ..."
Paola, I think this will answer your question:
"Participant then will pick another board to travel to and go around that board ONCE until they either rolled to land on OR pass the GO square. Then, they will return to their Main Board (and start again from GO square)."

Children of Blood and Bone, because it's been recommended to me.
And The Clockmaker's Daughter, because you and I both love historical fiction with a mystery thrown in."
I think I will go with The Map of True Places this time, although they are all great picks, Susan.

Yay, Stacey. Another Australia participant!!!

Death of a Red Heroine for PnM Authors
Oh, Play That Thing for Wheel 4
The First Man in Rome for PnM Settings - Time

Here are my results:
Books read: 12
Pages read: 2,865
What is more important to me are small goals I achieved.
1) I finished Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind: Informal Talks on Zen Meditation and Practice, which was shelved in 2012 as an owned book and started in September. I was reading it for an old PAS game - Wheel, and it was the last book for Round 3. This read-a-thon gave me the impetus to complete that book, which turned out to be an important book for me personally to read. It also helped me reach a mini-goal of completing old games, although Wheel 4 will probably go into next year.
2) I was a participant in another group, which decided to close this year. The owners of the group allowed those of us still participating to continue with the games. I had one book left to go (The Crossing). I was able to meet the goal of completing my games in that group and to discontinue my membership in line of my goal to par down my groups because of the read-a-thon.
3) I ended with 2 books in progress: one of those is for PnM.
Thank you, Tien, for the read-a-thon. I was able to make good progress on some PnM games as well as achieve more than I thought I would.

I agree with Susan. I like the idea of different people picking. However, please hit reply on the request you are picking for so that it is clear which roll is being addressed.

The picks for each board are to be done by the players for that board. Lusie and Anna, if you want other picks for those posts please let your fellow players know. I will sit on my quick fingers or grab a cup of coffee so I don't jump in.

Marina, I am not sure about tackling The Wise Man's Fear for the monthly shelf, but I would consider joining you in a buddy read.

Here are some for consideration, Susan.
The Imperfectionists
The Way of Kings (I know, it's an impossibly big book, but think of it as getting it out of the way. Very worth the read.)
The Chrysalids

Anna, here is your list for your first roll:
The Passage
The Poisonwood Bible
Cinder

OK, Lusie, here is your second roll list:
His Majesty's Dragon
The Girl Who Came Home
What Angels Fear

Susan, it has been on my TBR for a long while. About time I got around to it.
