Stacy, I am already planning ..."
Lagullande, a buddy read is reading a book together on a schedule. Usually a number of chapters or pages per week is decided upon ahead of time and a start date is set. Stacy and I are aiming at April for The Pillars of the Earth. We would love to have you join us.

I plan to read that one, also.

Thanks!"
Meg, how about one of these?
The Water Dancer
This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate
The Paris Wife

Dee, do you know the expected date for Book #3?

I suggest that we decide how many weeks we want to take to read it...4-6 and then come up with pages per week.
At 4 weeks, it would be approximately 248 pages per week.
At 5 weeks, approximately 200.
At 6 weeks, approximately 165.
What do you think, Marina? And when do you want to start?
Reading schedule for 4 weeks:
Week 1 (Feb 2-8): chapters 1-32 (pages 1-248)
Week 2 (Feb 9-15): chapters 33-73 (pages 249-497)
Week 3 (Feb 16-22): chapters 74-113 (pages 498-746)
Week 4 (Feb 23-29): chapters 114-end (pages 747-994)

Stacy, I am already planning to do the other two I nominated, but I would be interested in doing The Pillars of the Earth with you once I finished those, if you are willing to wait. I am guessing about April?

Still Reading:
The First Man in Rome - 58% done...end in sight!
Starting:
The Rabbi - restarting, that is - for LOST 2014, PnM Own, and Bookopoly
Unlucky 13 for MM 2019 and Series 2020

Good, let me know! I'm afraid I don't read nearly as much as you do, most days I can manage about 100..."
Don't worry, Marina. I am perfectly willing to go slower as I usually have multiple books going...and am so far behind on last year's PnM.

Hope you do as well as I did. I have had both hips replaced - about 10 years ago.

9. Read a book with less than 5 ratings (has to be at least 1 year after first publication date).
The only book on my TBR shelf with less than 5 ..."
Coralie, I checked your TBR and found that your one book Dignity in a Teacup: True Stories of Courage and Sacrifice from Christmas Island was published February 2019. I would say it would be OK to read it. Or you could wait a week to start it.

Start Feb 1: prologue + Part I = longest read at 326p
Feb. 8: Interludes + Part II = 228p
Feb. 15: Interludes + Part III = 274p
Feb. 22: Interludes + Part IV = 226p
Feb. 29: Interludes + Part V + Epilogue et al. = 187p
Any thoughts...please?

It is divided into 5 parts plus a Prologue and an Epilogue.
Prologue pp. 1-27 (26pp)
Part One pp. 27-327 (300pp)
Interludes pp. 327-343 (16pp)
Part Two pp. 343-555 (212pp)
Interludes pp. 555-579 (24pp)
Part Three pp. 579-829 (250pp)
Interludes pp. 829-847 (18pp)
Part Four pp. 847-1055 (208pp)
Interludes pp. 1055-1071 (16pp)
Part Five pp. 1071-1229 (158pp)
Epilogue/Endnote/Ars Arcanum pp. 1229-1242 (13pp)
How would you like to divide this up for weekly reading?

Coralie, it would be great if you joined Bea and me in our buddy read of [book:Oathbr..."
Great! The more the merrier. I will set up the thread when I return from the library. We can discuss the schedule then.

Lusie, I will be picking up Oathbringer today at the library.
Marina, I have The Wise Man's Fear on hold. I will let you know when it comes in.
