@Michelle: This is not required, but...if you add the links for your planned books, it makes it easier for someone to browse your list!

Sounds like a solution. The important thing is that this list is made up of books that have been on the shelf or TBR for a long while. Nothing says you have to stick with the 10 oldest.

Also, I have several library books in progress not for RAT.

RAT is starting! Lots of books to read.
Night for Bookopoly
Blue Dahlia for MM
The Alienist for LOST and Series (and RAT)

Karin, as long as they are "old, lost books", they can come from anywhere. This game is meant to help each of us move past those books we have around or on a list that have been there for years.
As to whether or not they can be found, I would suggest that, if a book is not available to read (for me that means I don't own it and it cannot be found in my library systems), that it be left off the list. If you start it, and you just cannot tolerate it (for whatever reason), then DNF it.
At that point, you can replace it as Susan suggests or count it. The important part is that you find 10 books that haven't gotten the attention they might deserve and try them out. Have fun!

LOL...you should have fun exploring this list, then.

Another genre that I enjoy is Historical Fiction. And, LynnB, your NF is certainly varied. A couple are interesting to me...and I am not a big NF reader.

√1.Odd Thomas (Horror) Read 6/27/21 - 4*
√2. Sophie's World: A Novel About the History of Philosophy (Philosopy) Read 5/14/21 - 5*
√3. The Hiding Place (I am sure I must have read this at some time in my life, so it might be a re-read.) [Non-Fiction] Read 8/9/21 - 5*
√4. The Pardon (Mystery) Read 7/3/21 - 3.5*
√5 The Traitor's Wife (Historical Fiction) - 4* - Read 7/10/21
√6. Woods Runner (Historical Fiction) - 3* - Read 4/3/21
√7. Trickster: Native American Tales, A Graphic Collection (Graphic Novel) - 3* - Read 2/12/21
√8. Unusual Suspects: Stories of Mystery & Fantasy (Mystery) - 3* - Read 1/15/21
√9. Man in the Dark (Fiction) Read 5/25/21 - 3*
√10. The Guardian (Christian Fiction) Read 9/6/21 - 4*
Some observations about this list: half are through the SC library and half through the GA library; half are short books (under 300 pages); my list covers 8 different genres; and all were first put on wishlist TBR in May 2011.

The object is to make a list of 10 books that have been on your TBR list the longest and get them finally read.
You are allowed to DNF any book that you list after giving it a try.
This game is part 1 of 3. The other parts will be announced when people start finishing their LOST list as they are based on the date LOST was finished. However, you are not required to participate in parts 2&3, which are just incentives for not letting the LOST books linger.
Good reading, everyone.
