80482 I am leaning toward a reread of The Worm Ouroboros. I never gave it a review.
Contests (1 new)

80482 Mark Lawrence is leading an interesting contest, turning 10 review-bloggers into agents for self-pub authors of Sword & Sorcery. This excludes small-press even. The idea is to have the 10 review-bloggers choose the best of 250 submissions. The prize? Free advertising, and association with Mark Lawrence.

Submissions end this Fri Mar 6th...or until the max 250 submissions are entered.

Beauty in ruins I heard about it via Bob Milne's review page: http://beauty-in-ruins.blogspot.ca/20...

Ashe, are you saying Quentin is a goblin-lover?

Welcome Quentin. You are indeed with like company, being an action/horror reader/author.

Wow, that's a definitive orc comment! Looks like you have two blogs, with the wordpress being more current. Here are Scott Oden's blog URLs:

Greg, of course. But note: all Goblin comments (even those regarding X-files) belong in a different thread. Which side are you on anyway, orc or goblin?

80482 Scott Oden had a nice comment in the ORC thread that listed a bunch of ORC books:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

In addition to that list, group members (Scott, Charles, Ashe, Trey and other) also have books/shorts on line. I am sure I missed some, so I invite all to chime in on their own works and spur discussions.

Well to get really filthy, someone needs to step up and read one of these:
Goblin Gangbang or Goblin Gangbang, two monster erotica with the same name...but different authors. I'm not sure if I am brave enough.
Goblin Gangbang (The Goblins' Princess) by Jane Amber or Goblin Gangbang by J.K. Waylon

80482 Orc-readers unite! You have some competition from the GOBLIN crew....but you have a head-start since many of you began discussing Orcs already (Link to previous ORC thread).

With members of this group writing about ORCS, there should be plenty to talk about. Any short story, work-in-progress, classic, shared-universe, etc. will do. (Warhammer, Forgotten Realms, Tolkien). Are you an orciphile? orc-phobic? Well there is plenty monster-erotica that is fair game too...

Anyway, pick a side: ORCS or GOBLINS!

80482 Goblin Readers: the Poll winner was E.R. Eddison's classic The Worm Ouroboros, so that is the default choice here. And even though his King Gaslark of Goblinland, and the goblin Lord Gro, appear more like humans than today's stereotype... we welcome any topic on GOBLINS to counter the other concurrent groupread on ORCS.

So decide...are you goblin-phillic? goblin-phobic? Or are you orc-loving-scum?

80482 Banner input
For Mar-Apr 2015, we'll have a Orc versus Goblin theme, with the recommended Goblin one being The Worm Ouroboros. I'll be making a banner real soon.
Any recommended coverart to blend in?
I tracked Scott Oden down on Facebook and he mentioned using Stan Nicholls's Orcs or Orcs: Inferno

STRANGER COMICS: THE UNTAMED, A Sinner's Prayer by Sebastian A. Jones and Peter Bergting
80482 The book will retail at $29.99, but as a Kickstarter Special, you can get it signed and shipped for $25 (or $20 for the first several folks who are fast). It should contain 7 comics in one book.

There are a bunch of Kickstarter options...scroll while looking on the right hand side.
80482 The eBooks are available already as kindles , epubs, iBooks, etc.

The kickstarter is to make a hardcover collection. The PDF is likely the format being sent to printers.
80482 This combines the eBooks of Sebastian A. Jones Untamed series under one hardcover book: The Untamed: A Sinner's Prayer #1, The Untamed: A Sinner's Prayer #2, The Untamed #3, Dusu: Path of the Ancient #4, The Untamed #5...more I think...there should be 7 total

The Untamed A Sinner's Prayer #1 by Sebastian A. Jones The Untamed A Sinner's Prayer #2 by Sebastian A. Jones The Untamed #3 by Sebastian A. Jones Dusu Path of the Ancient #4 by Sebastian A. Jones The Untamed #5 by Sebastian A. Jones
80482 I just backed a Kickstarter (started tonight, Feb-17...last until March something). A hardcover rendition of Stranger Comic's Untamed series. Looks very Sword & Sorcery focused.
