Listen to advice when it is given, especially if you don't like the advice. Don't assume you are an undiscovered genius. At the other extreme, don't assume you are rubbish. Writing is a craft, like carpentry, and it has to be learned. It takes a long time to become a writer for all but the luckiest few. Only a proportion of those who are published will make any money from it. It is lonely, hard work, and often demoralising. If you can cope with that, get typing.(less)

Dark Imperium has not been expunged. It admittedly has been off sale for a while, but it will return, as will Plague War, in new editions that slightly retcon it to take place within the Indomitus Crusade rather than afterwards. Godblight, book three in the series, will be released shortly thereafter. So, in answer to your question, you can read the Great Work. It is not invalidated in the slightest. They are connected a little, but not in the way that you have to have read the DI series to understand or enjoy! I hope that is a satisfactory answer, and thank you for your question.(less)

One year (and a bit) on…

Okay, so it’s more than a year since I posted a blog post on this website, and if I’m honest with you, this one here is likely to be the last. I’ve tried to muster up the enthusiasm to write material for the site, but although I’ve been very touched by the comments from those […] Read more of this blog post »

Hi Katie. Thanks for enjoying it! It's not exactly part of a longer story, but the good news is that the adventures of Noctis continue in Flesh and Steel, which is a full length novel. Here's a link. https://www.blacklibrary.com/all-prod... If hardco See Full Answer

“No, but if I were an illegal, experimental replicant hiding the truth of an international conspiracy I would try and put myself out of the way of those investigating it, wouldn't you? I don't think hiding under a bed will be very successful. But, if you've any better idea of what the deadly robot assassin is up to, please feel free to act upon it.”
Guy Haley, Reality 36

“Intent on their small extinctions, they are ignorant of the greater death going on all around them.”
Guy Haley, Champion of Mars

“Boredom,’ said Curze to his flesh sculpture, many years later, ‘is among the greatest of all human sins. It demands mischief to fill it, and mischief begets disorder. Boredom is pernicious, bringing forth wickedness in those who might remain guiltless. I do not know how much to blame boredom for what happened on Nostramo, but surely it must have played its part.”
Guy Haley, Konrad Curze: The Night Haunter
