Greg, good idea. Any "RPG gamebook" would be a good topic to vote on. Quick reads..kind of... assuming you can make it through. Most of those are pretty brutal is dishing out death.

BTW: I recently had a guest blog on the topic Grim Dark roots and I cite the Fighting Fantasy series and the recent Kickstarter campaign to make a coffe-table book of its history (it spawned Warhammer!):

80482 Just received a new copy of the re-released The Birthgrave. It is coincidental that her first book was being remarketed as she died.

80482 Any thoughts on adding a "Tanith Lee" topic for the Groupread?

Also note Black Gates post regarding her "Wars of Vis":

80482 I am trying out Thongor and the Wizard of Lemuria. Phew, this will be tough to enjoy without laughing. As of now, Brak is looking like a better Clonan.

The Jeff Jones cover rocks.

80482 Just finished The Doom of Undal; it is good historical fiction, with an epic feel. Darker than one may think. Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Now back to the group read. I hope to tackle another clonan. Kothar of the Magic Sword awaits...

S.Wagenaar, Greg has a keen eye. He caught me inappropriately using "compose" and "comprise." Greg do you ever consider free-lance editing?

In short, Pastiche is like Fan Fiction in many ways. Have any you like? Links or documents? Published or not? Use this folder as a way to share if you'd like.
