80482 For what it’s worth, the Amazon preorder just updated from Sept to Oct. 28-Dec-8 2019.

Given Hocking’s feedback, I am skeptical... but always hopeful

Agreed. I took the announcement as being half-warning, half-exciting.

80482 I haven’t read the Creation Myths (yet), but from the descriptions of 1-3, this series seems to occur between them and the movie.

I’ll have to track down the comics

80482 Anyone else out there enjoying the 10 episode prequel to the Dark Crystal?

I loved it. Amazingly true to the original in style and substance, really fleshed out the lore, filled with cool creatures and surprisingly “dark” .

80482 From DMR books Facebook page:

“In the late ‘70s legendary pulp fictioneer Manly Wade Wellman created a fantasy hero named Kardios, who was the last survivor of Atlantis. The five tales of Kardios Wellman penned appeared in anthologies such as Swords Against Darkness and Heroic Fantasy, which are long out of print. For decades sword and sorcery fans have clamored for all five stories to be reprinted in a single collection.

80482 I wrapped up my diversion into robotic thrill-rides, Todd McAulty's The Robots of Gotham was a blast.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Now... the group read is pulling me toward Sword of Destiny, but I was lucky to score an advanced copy of Howard Andrew Jone's Upon the Flight of the Queen (due out n Nov.), so I am distracted.

80482 Not &SS, but I am reading Todd McAulty's The Robots of Gotham.... and Todd McAulty is a pen name for John O'Neill, S&S supporter and leader of BlackGate.com. It's his debut novel, and it's a robot/AI thriller.
