Gulf Coast Run (1 new)

80482 Once again it was time for me to journey to the Gulf Coast. Alabama doesn't boast many used bookstores, but our neighbors make up for our lack.

Meg's Books in Mobile is a mess. BUT it's the kind of place that if you have the time and patience you can score some hard to find titles. The woman that owns the place is fairly old with health issues so she is only open Thursday-Saturday 10-5, but she is most eager to help you find what you're looking for.

Hawsey's Book Index in Pensacola is a well organized, well stocked, treasure. The prices are clearly marked on a little sticker on the book; no guesswork, or confusion. Friendly, helpful staff.

My Favorite Books in Tallahassee has quite a selection. They pencil in the price on the inside cover of the book. I personally didn't find many titles that I needed, but other might.

2nd & Charles in Hoover just blows my mind. Well stocked, semi-organized; I could spend hours going through their Fantasy section. Every time I go in, I seem to come out with an arm full of books. Such a great selection, plus they have coupons and sales all the time. I just missed a buy 2 get 1 free sale.

Anyways, on to the haul:

Bard
The Crusades: Iron Men and Saints
A Storm Upon Ulster
Worldstone
Bring the Jubilee
To Battle the Gods
The White Hart
Emphyrio
Viriconium
The Emperor's Blades
The Providence of Fire
The Shattered World
Web of Sand
The Jester At Scar
The Crystal Palace
The Rainbow Sword
The Seeking Sword
First And Final Rites
The Enchantress of World's End
Tarzan and the Forbidden City
Born to Exile
In the Red Lord's Reach
In the Kingdom of the Beasts
The Crystal Crown
The Realm Beneath
The Name of the Sun

I know most of these titles aren't S&S. Actually the one I was most excited about was Bring the Jubilee. I could have purchase a copy online, but I like the feeling of discovering that sought after title on some dusty shelf. Sorta dystopian alternative history; piqued my interest anyhow.

Lol, I found a 15% off code, that took $3 dollars off. It should be here sometime toward the end of the month.

Man did you read my mind? Seriously toying with the idea. That's a lot for a paperback...

And the the story was left wide open. Gah!

80482 The Trail of Bohu (Imaro, #3) by Charles R. Saunders
The Trail of Bohu

So, I am about finished with this one and I'm really into the story. So much so, that I became alarmed that the story wouldn't finish before page count ran out. I was unaware that there was a fourth book. The only place I can find it for sale is Lulu.com. I really don't want to shell out $20 for a 335 page book. Bummer.

80482 Hmmm. Telling of his death kinda paints yourself into a corner. Seems like it would limit the timeframe in which to tell a story. Had to happen sometime though. Sounds like a marketing thing; like death of Superman kinda thing.
