Vee slowed down her movements at her sisters questioning. To be honest, she didn’t have a reply to them. If she did, she didn’t even think she would tell her. She didn’t need to explain herself to her sister, or at least she didn’t think she needed to. She didn’t even understand why her sister cared for her that much. So what if Vee didn’t care for her as her parents did. Wasn’t the attention she had from everyone else enough? Did she even need Vee to think she was perfect beyond comprehension? Because Vee wouldn’t give her that.
So she continued to stay, quite, letting her walk out of the kitchen just like she walked out from their home. Vee prepared dinner by herself at first, and then her mother joined her at the end. Their father eventually came home and greeted Lydia.
Later, they were all at the dinner table with the food out before them, eating. Well, Vee wasn’t really eating. She was just moving food around her plate, faking bites, and acting like she was eating. When no one was looking, Vee would push food off her plate and into her lap where there was a paper bag holding everything. She always did that when she ate with her family because she didn’t want them to suspect anything from her, especially her sister, who she was still avoiding looking at since she started eating.
After talking about the business that their father would be joining, he turned his attention to Lydia. “When will we get to see your boyfriend, Lydia? It’s been a while and I want to make sure he’s doing good by you.”

Hunter met Lena’s eyes when she turned to look at him. He saw her playful smile, which was very contagious. He found himself smiling, too. She always managed to do that whenever they were together, and he liked that.
She was one of the many reason he still made friends and hung around people that weren’t like him, even though his parents tell him not to. She brought out parts of him that he really enjoyed ever since they were kids.
When she knew what he wanted, Hunter watched her bend over to get his pencil. He was ready to lean forward to take it, only to have her turn him away. “Lena,” he said in a hushed voice. “I need it for my notes.” His brows raised as he saw the mischievous look in her eyes, and though he knew he shouldn’t play around at a moment like this, she was beckoning him to. Knowing she wasn’t going to give it back, he said with a small smirk, “Fine. What do I have to do to get it back, Lena Murdock?”

Sebastian just laughed, pulling his hand away shyly when it brushed against hers. He knew what she meant, and it was making him a bit nervous, but not in a bad way. He just handed her her stuff while listening to what she said about the dog.
A warm feeling started to spread from Sebastian’s chest as he heard her speak. He already knew she cared about him, or his dog form really, from how she interacted with him. But hearing her say that to him, it just made him feel really happy and touched. Not to mention knowing that he makes her happy brought peace to him because he wanted to please her. “He is cute.” He softly laughed as she rambled. “And don’t worry, I get how he helps with not losing your mind because everyone has their moments when things aren’t going right.” He tried to assure her. She didn’t like that she was slipping up, that much was obvious, with how she corrected herself a lot.
After she had all of her stuff, Sebastian moved to stand. He adjusted the strap of his bag on his shoulder and looked over her. He remembered wanting to ask her to be his date, and even though she didn’t hear him the first time, he was trying not to get discouraged. So he went for it. “Ugh... Karly... I was thinking, y’know, if someone hadn’t asked you already.... if you would like to be my date to the ball?” Sebastian looked down shyly and rubbed the back of his neck, feeling nervous that she may reject him. God, that was so hard.

Troy continued to chant in the foreign language. Living for centuries and constantly using spells that required him to speak in these different languages, he was kind of forced to know them by heart. It came to him so easily, as if it was second nature. People would actually be fascinated with the amount of languages he knew how to speak, some not even for spells, but rather he picked up from his old home town, Brazil, and the immigrants that came to Warwick over the many years that he’s been trapped here.
As he chanted, he eventually opened his eyes to watch what was happening. Just like he planned, some of the lower branches were shedding its leaves and slowly wrapping themselves around the trunk of the tree, creaking and splintering a bit as it did so. He eventually stopped speaking, but held out his hands to control the branches direction. Eventually they finally wrapped around the tree trunk before sinking themselves deep into the dirt to where the roots were, just like they should. That should do it, he thought to himself.
Of course, the thing that he was doing was really just an experience. One reason being, he wanted to make sure the ingredients he bought today were good, and thankfully they were, and two, he wanted to see if this form of security would be beneficial if they were to use it on the plants around the house to keep wanted intruders out. That part, he still had to test out later. Maybe he would get his brother to walk around the tree when he sees him. It would be very funny to have him suspended in the air freaking out. He would just have to sprinkle some fairy dust on him so the tree would think he’s a fairy.
However, as he thought of what he would do later, Troy’s train of thoughts was cut off at the sound of movement, one that was too soft to be his brother. Her lowered his hands and quickly turned around, only to spot a girl kneeling by the side of his car, watching him. What the fuck. She was watching me?! Troy was both angry and a bit frightened to be caught. He immediately made his way towards her, knowing he had to do something about this. He didn’t think anyone would actually see him. What were the chances? But turned out someone had seen him, and he was surely going to fix that.
Troy followed her until she was pressed against the garage, having nowhere else to go. He looked over her from head to toe, wondering who the hell was she. He’s never seen her before. But that didn’t matter. Before he could do or say anything though, she was already speaking, and what she said surprised him. For a moment, he just stared at her before laughing. “Like me?” He assumed she meant witch, because he was a warlock, and he didn’t care for witches. “You just wanted to watch. Oh, well then. That’s okay. You can leave now.” He said sarcastically before snapping his fingers and causing her feet to freeze in place. “Who are are you and what are you doing here?” He asked her, giving her a chance to explain herself.

Elizabeth angrily tugged at the door of the diner and swung it open before walking in. Ugh! He’s so annoying. I can’t believe he’s going to tell my parents. What an ass, and he’s making me work with him!
Elizabeth made her way to one of the booths at the far corner where she could be alone. She lowered the hood of her black hoodie and shook out her red short hair. She obviously seemed pissed, and how couldn’t she be after what happened. Not wanting to go home just yet, she came here. She didn’t even think she wanted food, really. She just wanted to let off some steam, some how.
She pulled out her phone from the back pocket of her black jeans and looked at the screen, finding Lorenzo’s name. Her stomach dropped at his name, wondering what her brother wanted from her. Did Ryland call him? She panicked internally for a moment. She opened up the message to see that he was just checking where she was, like usual, and even though she was annoyed from it, she was glad it wasn’t what she thought it was. She texted him back that she was at a diner before setting her phone down on the table.
A waitress came up to her and asked her what she wanted, and she simply asked for a coke. She didn’t think she could handle anything in her stomach at the moment.
