Elizabeth went back to pulling out the stuff she needed from her bag as she listened to her friend. “I know right. It’s so annoying. He says he’s going to baby me no matter what. As if. I’m telling you when I go to college and have a job, I’m so moving in with you.” Elizabeth tossed her now empty bag on the floor and moved farther on the bed to sit crossed legged. At the mention of a job, she was remembered of how she actually got one today at the tattoo shop, but she knew she couldn’t bring that up. No one could know about the damage she did and how she had to pay back Ryland by being his personal assistant just so he won’t call the cops.
Elizabeth was starting to get heated just thinking about that, but luckily Salem was able to distract her when she brought her classmates. She laughed and knocked the pillow away. “Some of them are cute, but some are hormonal weirdos.” She reminds her. As Elizabeth flipped the calculus book open, she was reminded of Salem having a date. “Oh! You reminded me. You still don’t have a date? Have you tried talking to some guys about it?” She glanced up to her with her pale blue eyes before looking back to the book.
Elizabeth was actually clueless about what her friend thought about her brother, and that was a good thing because the idea of her best friend and her brother being a thing bothered her. She didn’t like to share her with anyone at school, let alone her own brother. It was enough she had to share the bathroom with him and the other three twerps. But on some serious note, she was actually afraid to be forgotten if that were to happen.

Hearing the word free, Hunter’s mixed feelings about it came to his mind. For him, he had two ways of freedom. One was when he was in his wolf form, running in the woods and howling at the moon. He enjoyed that freedom very much. Cherished it, really. It was an amazing feeling, one that he didn’t think he could give up. But then the other freedom was the one he craved from his parents, where he could do whatever he wants. That’s the one he hasn’t tasted, and Lena was making it look very tempting. But he had to fight himself at times, remind himself of the pack and how important that is to him. How important his parents are to him. So he never fully gave in. Like now, he was agreeing to go with her, to have fun. But not give in and lose everything he still held on to. “It’s a dare then,” he finally tells her with a pleased smile.

Sebastian was a bit surprised by her reaction. Seeing her blush and and grin like that. Was she really as excited as he was? Whatever it was, she looked super cute like that.
“Yeah, ill see you later then.” He said, trying to keep cool. With that, he gripped the strap of his bag tighter and walked pass her and down the hall. Yes! I did it! I asked her out.

Vee stared at the plate when her father was speaking to Lydia. Hearing the topic of boyfriends, she could help but think of how she would never have one. Who would want to be with her? A blood sucking monster who killed her own best friend. What made the whole thing worse was that it wasn’t like she would live for thirty, forty, or fifty years. She would live for three hundred, four hundred, five hundred, or more years, and she would live them alone. She could always try to show people she wasn’t a monster, see if they would except her for who she has become, or if she was lucky, she would find someone like her. Ugh. Why am I thinking about this.
“Well, I hope he feels better. Maybe next week he could come over for dinner,” her mother tells her. “How’s your work, Lydia?” Her father asks. “You should really look for another job, sweetie. I’m not sure how I feel about being a bartender.”
“Pft,” Vee said as she glanced between her parents. “That’s a first. I thought she was perfect in your guy's eyes.” She mumbles.

Anna searches around her for the girl, but she was gone. She knew she shouldn’t do this. Except she couldn’t help herself. She would get to meet someone like her. Who would give up on a chance like that. As Anna looked around her, she noticed the girl surface back up, but much farther. Just as she was going to call out to her again to get her attention, the other girl turned around, and what was once a lovely enchanting sound that came out of her became a loud screeching sound that made Anna flinch away in pain. She looked over her, confused at why she was doing that. As Anna focused more on her though, she noticed how her features transformed into something terrifying. She’s not a mermaid.... she’s a siren.
Anna gasped softly as she watched the girl who looked very small, disappear into the water. Any joy she felt earlier was gone, and she became a bit terrified. But not too much, because of what the girl said. The fact that she told her to leave rather than do something to her showed that she wasn’t as bad as she looked. However, Anna did dive back into the water, making her way farther from her. She surfaces at the edge of the water and held onto the land. Hopefully, she would be safe here. But she wasn’t ready to give up.
“I want to talk to you,” She called out to her once more.

Elizabeth closed the door to her room so they could be alone. If the boys wanted something, or something happened, they could just come and get her. She then grabbed her bag from the floor and sat next to her friend. “Say what you want. I don’t know why I took that class. Like, seriously? Why do they teach us all this stuff if were not going to use them in our lives. Ughh. I’m going to fail.” She grained in annoyance.
She sweeper her red bangs out of her eyes and started to take out her stuff from her bag. “Renny? He’s been busy coaching. He’s barely home these days.” She would never admit this, but it kind of bothered her because he was starting to turn into their parents. But she knew they were doing it to take care of the family. Elizabeth stopped mid-unpacking and turned to Salem. “Can you believe he said I can’t go to the New Years ball with a date?” She said in disbelief as she ranted to her friend. “That guy is going to be the death of me. He’s going to scare away all the boys. It’s so annoying how he treats me like a baby.”
Little did she know, her brother Lorenzo was currently texting and calling her phone at the moment. But her phone was put on silent mode after having to tell him she’ll text him later back at the diner. To add onto that, it was buried in the pocket of her hoodie which was currently crumpled in the corner of her room.

Vee watched him raise his hands as if to say he was not a threat, and maybe it did calm her a little, especially since she was thinking he was like her. After all, what could possibly go wrong? She could easily escape... well, if he was the same, he could easily follow her. So maybe things could go wrong.
However, when he said he was the same as her, in some way, any worry she had left was gone, especially when he introduced himself. Her flight mode was disregarded and instead of freaking about how she got caught, a million questions started to run through her mind. But she had to bite back her tongue to keep from asking him.
Looking at his outstretched hand, Vee started to move to shake it but slowed down when she found hers dirty with blood. “Ugh... sorry,” she said, pulling back before she could touch him. She raised her hand a bit as if that would explain to him why she hadn’t shaken his. “I don’t want to get you dirty. My name is Vee Sky,” she tells him. She wanted to kick herself in the head for how she was presented, knowing first impressions always mattered. He seemed well collected, clean, and friendly. While she was scattered all over the place, a mess, and had just been crying a few moments ago.
“This is embarrassing,” she mumbled to herself. “I’m normally not like this. I swear. I don’t feed much... so when I do... it kinda gets out of hand.” She gestured towards the rabbit as an example. Immediately wanting to know how long he’s been like her, Vee asked. “If you don’t mind me asking... but how long have you been y’know... a vampire.” The word still felt foreign to her.

Watching Lena act like her self, sometimes he wondered how come he wasn’t driven crazy. The teasing. Lip biting. Pencil in her mouth. Surely it would be a enough to drive a boy crazy with need, and maybe it would do the same with him, but he never really allowed himself to look at her that way. Yes, occasionally some things would cross his mind when she did the little actions that made her... well, her. But he would quickly push them away because it was wrong. It was Lena, his friend. He shouldn’t think of her that yeah. Damn hormones, though. They never agreed with his mind... well heart really since their chemistry teacher said the mind actaully did control their hormones.
Hearing her go on with wild ideas, he just stared at her in disbelief. “You're crazy,” he tells her. These were things he never tried and didn’t even think he would try.
Hearing her last question brought a devilish smirk to his lips, and he couldn’t help but softly chuckle, careful so the teacher wouldn’t hear them. “What is it you have in mind, Lena? Your killing me with this mystery.”

Anna swam through the cold water, her pink tail leaving a trail of bubbles after her before rising to the surface. It was funny how a few years ago, she was afraid of swimming. Now, she was moving faster than the fishes next to her. She loved the feeling it brought to her, the feeling of being free. Some people hated what the curse made them into, but she loved it, mostly because of the fact that it actually saved her life.
She was swimming here in the water of the falls because her dads were home and she couldn’t use the pool like she normally did. But she didn’t mind it because she had more space here, and felt more like a mermaid in this water.
As Anna was about to turn to do another lap, she heard singing, and came to a stop. Someone is here... Anna thought to herself. She worried if she was going to get caught. Cautiously, Anna swam to the edge of the waterfall where the water came crashing down. She then surfaced, making sure she was hidden, to see who was here. She knew her pink hair didn’t help to blend it. Still, she watched over the water, trying to see who was out their. Up ahead, she saw something surface before diving back in, and what she noticed made her perk up with excitement. A tail. It’s another mermaid.
Anna left to swim towards the newcomer, staying up at the surface as she searched for the other person. “Hello?” She called out.

Elizabeth shut the door behind her friend once she stepped in. “As if. Those losers are always glued to the TV.” Elizabeth rolled her eyes at what she said. Unlike Salem, she wished for peace and quiet. The house was never quite, especially when their parents were home. Their father would play with the little boys while Renny, her and their mother would be arguing about something. If their parents weren’t home, the boys would take the moment to make her life a living hell, literally. It didn’t help with trying to keep her fire powers at bay when they always seemed to annoy her, so if she were to be able to escape this hectic house, she would.
“Renny ordered pizza for us if you're hungry. It should be here in a few minutes. We could head to my room for now.” She tells Salem and starts to head for the stairs. “Behave!” She warns her brothers before making her way upstairs with her friend right behind her.
“You have no idea how amazing you are for coming. Like seriously, this test is going to be the death of me.” Elizabeth tells her and headed to her room, which was at the end of the hall. She opened up the door to reveal her small room that had a twin sized bed against the wall with the fairy lights, a white drawer, a long mirror propped up, and of course, her band posters. Elizabeth felt the most like herself in her room.

“Coming!” Elizabeth shouted from her room, even though it couldn’t be heard from that distance or over the loud TV the kids had on. After having to switch out of her hoodie and into a beaten up white t-shirt, Elizabeth quickly scurried down the stairs to go open the front door. As she passed the living room, she looked at the two boys and angrily said, “you guys are so fucken annoying! Didn’t you hear the doorbell!” But of course, they ignored her and payed attention to the brainwashing cartoon. Kids. You just gotta love them.
“I’m coming. I’m coming.” Elizabeth said again when the bell went off again. Just after a few seconds, Elizabeth pulled open the door. She smiled happily when she saw her friend. After living with four meat heads, it was good to see a girl in the house that wasn’t her mom, even though she was barely home anyways.
“Hey Salem. Sorry about that. The boys are being dick heads and not opening the door while I was upstairs,” Elizabeth spoke loudly so her brothers could hear her. “We’re heading upstairs to study.” She stepped aside for her friend to come in.

It was just another day for Ian at the club. He was somewhat a regular here. Thanks to the fake ID that says he’s twenty-one, of course. After living for so long and moving around every decade, changing his identity was a piece of cake. He currently had two at the moment, one for everyday use, and one for clubbing. The later helped him pick out his pray. After all, it doesn’t get easier than feeding off a drunken idiot. So here he was now, sitting in one of the booths, looking dark and mysterious. Like always, he waited for his pray to come to him. But of course, he encouraged them by making eye contact and beckoning them his way. He looked over the club, his eyes slowing down near the bar table as he caught someone’s gaze.
