I think you have the right take on Sid. I don't "like" him either, but I do think there is a lot more to him than what we've seen so far. Some people are arrogant dicks for no good reason. I'm thinking, though, that Sid has reason to be an ass. He just needs to learn that he can still get what he wants from life and be a decent human being.
