OH -and there isn't a font big enough to describe the OH moment I just had. I very recently finished The Value of Rain and haven't even stopped to discuss it because it's just one of those basic, life altering books that a layman's words could never do justice to. You know, one of those rare things? But I digress.

OH this is fucking about Manuel? With Charles in the mix? I see now what you're doing here, Brandon. Damn. Idk if I'm ready. I'm still tragically tender, doubt that I'll ever get over it. But do I want more Manuel? Hell yes. But the lens I'll have to view it through having read Rain? Gulp.

Do you think Rain is a must read before this?

I'm a pretty clear in knowing what I read is fiction. If I wrote I think the self-checking would make me crazy. It's bad enough just wandering around social media and trying not to step in it all the time. (Then again I'm a straight, white female painting pink penises with colorful beads.)

Your opinion is not wrong. We are adults. And if these books get into the hands of the kids, they probably know more than I do. Or, don't get it at all.

It's the parents job to educate on sexual safety (since they're so afraid of it at school). Do it earlier rather than later. Trust me. I'm also a firm believer that if you don't hide it, it's better.

Rambling.

Most recently though, I've just come to accept the PC'ness being written in. Now, because it's there so much, I do see it when it's not. It's really a bother. True, real-to-life scenes, would have fuckups and raunchy smells and drippy, sticky messes all over the place. Oh, huh, much like Brandon's scenes.

Escapism really shouldn't have rules. There's really got to be somewhere that we can let go of all those binds and just read. I like fantasy as much as the next guy, but ALL of my fiction reading is for entertainment. Entertain me. Don't treat me like I don't know better.
