770270 It will be a great honour if she does. She is an intelligent black person, who I would expect to make a musical statement.

770270 The druids are highly regarded in Celtic culture for their resistance to the Romans. When the Romans invaded Anglesey (Mona), the druids heaped curses upon them, and when the Romans took the islands they slaughtered the druids.

When the Romans left Britain, the druids and the Welsh people cheered. They did not know that soon new invaders, the Anglo-Saxons, would arrive - and these would stay. Indeed they are still in charge today.

770270 "Arthur Uther Pendragon (born John Timothy Rothwell, 5 April 1954) is a British eco-campaigner, Neo-Druid leader, media personality, and self-declared reincarnation of King Arthur, a name by which he is also known." (Wikipaedia)

His kingship is not recognised by the House of Windsor.

The druids have been around for millennia, so the virus crisis will not faze them. There is evidence that druidism originated in Britain, and that it then spread to continental Europe. It may be pre-Celtic. Doesnt Arthur look good in his resplendent robes?

770270 I went on the bus into town, wearing my mask of course. Greggs was open as advertised, but unfortunately there were no cakes. But the coffee tasted like nectar after months of abstinence.

770270 I think so. Interestingly, all the poems in Looking Glass are about fish, as Alice eventually noticed.

770270 A Poetical Aphorism

"Is it [the poem] very long?" Alice asked, for she had heard a good deal of poetry that day.

770270 I admire your stoicism GB, but such things scare me. I did experience an earthquake once, and that was enough for me.

770270 Ha ha! You are encouraging me to be lazy? It is forecast to be dry on Saturday, I can wait until then. There is a saying, absence [of coffee] makes the heart grow fonder.

Hooray! Tomorrow Greggs re-opens. But I fear the torrential rain and lightning strikes may prevent me from visiting it.
