The Greek god of fire was Hephaestus. Later the Romans had the god Vulcan, from whom we English speakers get the word "volcano".Regarding the Greek gods, it is strange that Poseidon the god of the seas was also the god of horses (which do not live in the sea).
I see. I had in mind an inanimate object, like a teddy bear. But the reader will make his or her interpretation.
