Aloha, you need to be under the care of a physician. You just can't leave your eating to chance. You also need to be tested for all sorts of allergies, so you know what it is that will make you sick. Could stress be playing a role? Take care of you, and I hope that you feel better soon! How like Proust of you to get sick like this! We're going to have to build you a cork-lined room! Cheers hun. :)

I'm glad I posted this link because it led to my viewing this lovely trailer. I find it hard to believe that America had no patience with a majestic fifty-year-old building. And so the photo reminds of what once was, and that is why old photographs mustn't be destroyed. Thanks for sharing.

Good one Fionnuala, but the emphasis seems to be on becoming Greatreads.

LOL Jeremy, I bet you rack up a MASSive fine.

I didn't know that!"
I learned that watching Connie Martinson's you tube videos a few years ago.
“Please support your local library by checking out a book. It is how they receive their funding.” - Connie Martinson
@Aloha, have you been to the public library recently? The library system is such that all the libraries in the state are part of an inter regional database, so you can order a book online that may come to you from a college/university in your state, but you need to become a member(free) first. I've received quite a few books from colleges. I've always used the library to feed my addiction, but ordered Proust( from Amazon) because this reading schedule goes beyond the borrow period.

It's our want to read list that has them drooling.
Alas, the public library. Just remember every time you check out a book from your public library, the library gets public funding.

Patricia, you are hilarious! You are a delightful addition to our group. I'm glad you didn't have to suffer.

Aloha, I know! I was just pointing out that it was covered in The Paris Review. lol
Patricia, the energy I detect in your postings.

Patricia, where do you get all that energy?!

Applauds for Jeremy. That was honest, and that was raw, and I'm glad you got it out of your system.
I read your comment and happened to glance upon the notebook I started when reading Swann's Way and then at the beginning of Within a Budding Grove and read this:
I could not endure the thought....
...he imagined that there was nothing that could not be arranged, no problem for which a happy solution might not be found in the conversation of the people who counted.
I think as readers we all get a little jumpy when the independent bookseller(or equivalent) loses out to Amazon, but we're the reason we let that happen. We follow the cheaper dollar. There was an article that the French were going to learn from America's example, and not allow that to happen in France and that they were going to protect the independent bookseller. Unfortunately it was a little too late for the Village Voice Bookshop which had to shut down last year.
Let us continue with our friendly gathering here.

Having the lounge function in this manner only enhances our enjoyment and appreciation of one another's comments in the discussion threads. We don't just read the comments, but understand the people behind them.

Wow these are fantastic Patricia, thanks for sharing them!!
Jeremy, there's no harm in having a thread for friendly discussion. We're all getting to know one another and as a result forming some great friendships in the lounge.

I reckon ReemK10 wrote that himself. Chapeau!
Actually ReemK is a she, and it was actually Proustitute who first posted it in the Group Lounge. I just thought it was a perfect way to lighten up the mood in here, and laughter is always the best medicine.Glad you got a laugh out of it.
@Jocelyne, have you ever had a leech suck your blood? I had the dubious honor of having had one latch on to my leg. The only way to get those suckers off is to sprinkle a pinch of salt!

Thank you Patricia!!! :)

Here's to any Proustian suffering the contagious woes of changing seasons."
Proustitute, Karen and Aloha, perhaps this is in order for you Proustians to feel better: http://htmlgiant.com/random/proust-re...

Those smiles! Their faces are beaming, and I love how the older son has his arm around his baby brother. God bless.

They're adorable!

I agree, that wouldn't be right at all. I'll delete the post. Thanks Marcelita for pointing this out to me.
