Update to message #183 I have read 2 books :) TY!

Pet Semetary, by the way, was the first Stephen King book I read and it creeped me out so much but I just kept turning those pages. I couldn't stop lol I hope Gunslinger hooks me soon!

I am trying to get into the book (my offline book club is discussing it next week!!!) but I am a little confused by it so far. Am I the only one who is muddling through the beginning trying to figure out what the heck is happening? lol

I think cozies do have a word count minimum, yes, so that explains some of the filler in it.
As for your question
(view spoiler)[That is a question I hadn't even considered but extremely good point. Maybe he is buried at the cemetery and also maybe he died a natural death so he's not trapped somewhere exclusively?? I have no idea but now I am hoping the writer does a Goodreads Q&A so we can ask haha So it seems Maxie & Paul are sticking around for the rest of the series. Seems Paul has a crush on Alison. It's kind of sad since nothing can come from it being that he's dead! (hide spoiler)]I have book 2 already and have 4 coming from Paperback swap. Now all I need is 3 and I'm sort of ready to go in the future months lol I am so glad you suggested this series.
Brenda wrote: "Daph! I just picked up my copy from the library. I plan on digging in this week. First full week back to work after the holidays! Can't wait!"Awesome! I will start reading it tomorrow :) TY for letting me know.

I finished it! What a fun read. It ran a little long for me but I still give it 4 stars without question. The humor and the uniqueness of the plot made it a winner in my mind and I'm excited to start reading next month's! haha
I was shocked
(view spoiler)[so many people ended up knowing about the ghosts by the book's ending! Was even more surprised ghost-seeing seems to run in Alison's family, at least part of it. Was surprised Alison's dad showed up to save her at the cemetery. Was surprised Adam killed Terry but wasn't surprised about the mayor killing Maxie and Paul. What gave it away early to me was her saying she can't take her meds except in liquid form. I was also surprised about George Washington's deed. I wonder if he spend some time at the 'shore. If that's historically accurate haha (hide spoiler)]How did you end up liking it??

I did an update to message #3. Mystery or thriller: Night of the Living Deed by E. J. Copperman.
Thanks for hosting this challenge by the way!
Book #3: Night of the Living Deed by
E.J. CoppermanRating: 4 stars
Completed: Jan. 11, 2017
Overall thoughts: It ran a *tad* long but I enjoyed it. I guessed whodunit (sort of) which is always cool. The humor was wonderful.

Update to message #3 -
Suspense book read - The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Book #2: The Girl on the Train by
Paula HawkinsRating: 4 stars
Completed: Jan. 7, 2017
Overall thoughts: Entertaining, twisted, intoxicating. Very hard to put down. I saw the movie already and actually preferred it to the book in some ways (that rarely ever happens).
Challenges: Alphabet Soup, Genre Bingo
Catherine wrote:
So I wonder if these two ghosts will disappear if the case is solved and there will be new ghosts in the next book?"That's exactly what I've been wondering! If their unfinished business is finished, will they go wherever spirits go or will they hang around for the rest of the series? I am eager to find out.
Catherine wrote: "Paul is okay. Maxie is annoying. I really hate that she has the ability to break things. I want to smack her."ITA about Maxie. She has a temper tantrum streak lol I plan to read the rest of this in the next few days if I can.

Do you like the ghosts Paul & Maxie? Paul is great to me but Maxie is a bit of a downer lol

I did an update to message #3 :)
Coming of age book read - Hidden Diary (Vol. 1) by Sandra Byrd
Book #1: Hidden Diary, Volume One by
Sandra ByrdRating: 3 stars
Completed: Jan. 2, 2017
Overall thoughts: Mediocre at best though it had some sweet moments. Wholesome while having some very 'human' characters w/flaws and foibles.
