I will nominate Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes: the story of a mentally disabled man whose quest for intelligence mirrors that of an extraordinary lab mouse named Algernon. In diary entries, Charlie writes about how an experimental procedure increases his IQ and 'resets' his life in ways no one could have anticipated.

I am seriously behind. I had so many challenge books to read this month that I got bogged down. But I believe I can read & finish it this weekend. I can't wait to discuss it :)
