Dalia - i'm jealous that you've been able to visit Copenhagen and Sweden ;) I would love to go there

is that the one that is only 9.95 a year? i'm checking out booksfree right now - you pay a set fee a month and they send the CD's to you...and since I go through more than 2 books a month, it might work as well as audible

yeah, Simon Vance was great...based on his performance in those, I've actually bought books I normally wouldn't have bought because i knew he was a good narrator
Dick Hill has done the Wallander ones (at least the 2 that i've listened to and the 1 that I have), and I want to try Nesbo who has some out in audio

I saw the trailer the other night when I went to see the help and have to say, at least the way the trailer was edited, I'm intrigued. Still having some difficulty with Daniel Craig as Blomqvist, but we'll see...
Naomi - you got to watch the princess bride - Cary Elwes as Westley...its a classic (in a kid/love story kind of way)

we're having that books to movies discussion in another group...I'm saying thank god about the princess bride - the movie is soo much better than the book, mostly because it cut a lot of extraneous info out

I think i'm going to reserve judgement until I see it...as with anything, the press takes one statement and writes a whole article on it - since the director didn't really expand on what is being done, we don't really know

I think I liked 2 and 3 better than 1 personally, but they were all good

so Jim is dark and stormy night noir, Mankell is more full-moon noir ;)

Since I drive between 1-2 hours to and frm work every day (and that is soon going to be increased to 2-3 hours) I love listening to audiobooks in the car. My first exposure to NN actually came through audiobooks when I picked up GWTDT during an audible sale and I was hooked.
Has anyone here listened to any NN in audio? What are your thoughts?

lol! we are allowed to have outside editors...no this was an author that spammed my blog on a random review wanting me to read her book for military issues

well, maybe not write, but editing ;)

trust me...I have all the sympathy in the work for people doing their dissertation - Ana we shall have to talk ;)

its cool Ana - come by and chat in the intro thread, or the why you like NN thread - we should probably start a Larsson one thinkign about it

Dee is theoretically at work...besides, like you said - this is a family group ;)

so what does that make me?? lol!

I'll just sic Naomi on people if you guys misbehave ;)

Member participation in this group is important to us so that everyone can share their experiences with the genre and their likes and dislikes. While we realize that many people prefer to lurk, this does not provide the participation we would like. All members are encouraged to post and if you do not participate, then you will be removed from the group after two months.

i'm going to nominate
(it is also published under the name Mercy overseas)

Nominations open now for the October Book of the Month read.
As a reminder - must be first in series, or stand-alone.
Nominations will remain open until the 20th (Tuesday). Voting will be open until the 27th.

a little birdie mentioned to me today that we had 99 members in the group now, and I just checked - we hit 100...that dorkiness aside...there are some of you who haven't introduced yourself, so
come out, come out, wherever you are!
