Good to know, I need to get back to this series, too!

51477 Coming off of my My Skylar (Gemini, #3) by Penelope Ward high and nothing is really even coming close, which is kind of depressing. I've read The Fall of January Cooper by Audrey Bell which was great in that unexpected kind of way, but could have used a bit more steam. Working on Compliments by Mari K. Cicero now, which is good. May need to toss in a YA switch-up here, I'm really missing my YA reads but I'm so far behind on blog contemp reviews that I can't seem to squeeze them in. This summer, maybe!! *crosses fingers*

I have book 3 queued up to read, but like you it's not pulling me back in. I do like it but I see your point about the slow-moving plot.

Annie!!! So glad to see you on here sweetie, though I've been absent so much it is probably me that's missing out. LOL I never got past the first book in this series, is is really that much better? I couldn't get past it lacking the spark of the Covenant series despite the similarities, but if you're loving it that's a good sign for me. =)

Aw, sorry babe, yeah this one tore me to pieces, too. It's one of those stories that really gets to your core, ugh!!

Ah, Bloodrose...reaaally didn't like it. Loved the first two, but this was a big disappointment. Then there's the whole Twilight-style love triangle decision that divided fans straight down the middle. Hope you like it more than a lot of us did!

The characters cross over, but each book is a new couple. I didn't read the first book (Gemini) because I got a review request for Jake Undone, but I'm not sorry I skipped ahead. Jake Undone was awesome, and My Skylar, which has the young girl from JU all grown up with her heart-wrenching story/past, was just outstanding. Apparently the first was just good, so I don't know that I'd recommend starting there since it may turn you away from two absolutely unforgettable must-reads! lol

Hmm...bumping this one up, it's been in discussion too much to ignore now! lol Glad you loved it, hon!

51477 Getting backlogged on my blog reviews, so I'm going to be speed-reading these over the next few days: Rules of Survival by Jus Accardo Compliments by Mari K. Cicero The Fall of January Cooper by Audrey Bell . On the bright side, they all look really good! =)

51477 I'm in a blissful 'cloud nine' mode right now after My Skylar (Gemini, #3) by Penelope Ward . This was the most beautiful, heart-wrenching love story I've read and I've had quite a few great ones on the list this year. This is a new favorite contemp romance for me, if you guys haven't picked up Jake Undone (Gemini, #2) by Penelope Ward yet, these two are both incredible reads and I can't recommend them strongly enough. Penelope's characters are all so real and have these awesome funny personalities, but then the stories just hit you right in the chest. Loved these!!

Ashfall was really good! Very long books, but such an original story.

51477 Got my hands on an ARC of My Skylar (Gemini, #3) by Penelope Ward and holy crap it's got me hooked. Penelope Ward is incredible, another book I can't put down and I'm LOL but preparing to be in tears over these two soon...perfect recipe for an awesome read!

This was my second of KA's reads, and it was the book that made me realize all of hers seem to be the same. Trashy female supporting cast, no use of pronouns in the dialogue, and overbearing in an annoyingly crass way men. Maybe someday I'll get back to her other books when I have the patience, but I just couldn't take any more once I read Law Man!

I liked that one, but I've still yet to get so swept away in it that I MUST read on.

51477 So I know everyone's going crazy over TMI latest now, but is anyone reading Overwhelmed by You (Tear Asunder, #2) by Nashoda Rose ?? I can't help myself, it's like a guilty pleasure. lol I'm reading Where There's Smoke by Elizabeth Lee along with.

Finished The Crescendo (A Musical Interlude, #2) by KaSonndra Leigh , good sequel to this series!

51477 Struggling to keep up with reading these days, but I finished another one that was pretty good. Honor Reclaimed (HORNET, #2) by Tonya Burrows was a really gritty, hard, but realistic look at what the armed forces go through with a love story weaved in. Not at all what I expected as far as how much detail was put into making you feel like you are right there experiencing the violence, it was really well-written.

Next up is Where There's Smoke by Elizabeth Lee , The Gift by Karli Perrin , and The Crescendo (A Musical Interlude, #2) by KaSonndra Leigh which I was supposed to get reviewed before release but just didn't happen. =/
