Hi Jeff and Connie! Welcome! Jeff - if you're mentioning a book solely for promotional reasons, please keep it to the Self Promotion folder. Thanks!
Sara, welcome! I know a lot of us here love PNR, so if you have anything to add to threads in the way of non-PNR discussion, it would be much appreciated!

I have an idea as well...well an evolving idea. I know we have a lot of members that are bloggers & others that are authors. AND our self promotion folder is a bit out of control and authors don't seem to get much of a response. Ive been toying with an idea for a weekly showcase. Where we showcase one author, one blog, and maybe even one book a week. And our members would be doing the showcasing (not us). We could have a sign up sheet so members know when theyre planning on being showcased. Authors, bloggers, and books would be entirely seperate and get their own thread. What i dont know is whether we'd want to start a new thread each week or build on the same one. I'm thinking the book showcase would be done by members (like Kellbell wants to tell us about this really cool book she just read). Does this make any sense? More work than its worth??
And I like the q&a as well. But I agree, don't know how best to arrange it!!

I can post a thread to ask the group as well, but I really wanted your opinions/thoughts/suggestions first!
I'm really open to anything and everything. Got some crazy idea, now's the time to voice it!

Ieva & Amanda - I'm sure you will have no problem finding more books that you'd like to read. My TBR pile is ridiculous, mostly due to this group.
Jenn - You have found a group that does not find such things embarrassing at all! I mean - the group name says it all! Obsession. And I love Vampire Academy as well, so you're in good company! :)

(of the Black Dagger Brotherhood...for those of you who haven't read it)
Good god I can't wait!!!!!! I'm not normally a squeally person but I really can't help it in this case! I really hope Ward's next book ends up living up to my expectations (which may be difficult at this point). At the same time, as long as they end up together I probably won't complain.
I suppose this post doesn't really belong here since they aren't a couple yet. But they WILL be!!!
I really cannot wait! Eeeek!
"Qhuinn and Blay" "Qhuinn and Blay" "Qhuinn and Blay"
Squeals and chants. This is what i have been reduced to! What I really need to remember to do is breath!

Write what you love to write! Otherwise what's the point? Even if you write what's popular, if your heart isn't in it, that will probably show through. And if you were to write what's popular just to make money, then it becomes a job, not pursuing what you love. No matter what though, I think you'll find readers that love what you do!
Lol. This is really making me wonder why all the vamp books I've read have particularly good looking characters. I've read other genres where that isn't the case (and loved them) but I can't think of one not good looking vampire. (well, unless the vampires are of horror books, and sometimes not even then).
I'd like to think I'm not superficial with my characters. I know if there isn't romance and a happily ever, it'd be tough to get me on board. Thats just my personal tastes...what I like to read. And often times what comes with romance in books is good looks (or at least an attraction of another character that makes them think theyre attractive). I'd take a love story between two 'unpackaged' vampires though, and not think twice about it.

Hey Tammy -does Bitten have vamps ..."
Cool. Thanks Tammy!
