I like paranormal romance/erotica the best.

Not a big fan of Bella, but Edward is my favorite character from every book I have ever read. I've read them all and wish there wer..."
I love them both too!! They are both such lovable (and yummy) characters. ;-)
Not a Bella fan...and it's not because I'm jealous. I promise. lol.

All you have to do is post to this thread a book you'd like to nominate. I'll add it to the list and then we'll start voting on nominated books on September 7. (See schedule below)
You can nominate two types of books:
- First in series or stand-alone that we haven't previously read as a group
- Continued Read (i.e. #2 in series if we've read #1 as a group read previously) See our previously read books at Group Reads To-Date
The top two winners from each group (after votes) will be our 4 group reads for the month of October.
It doesn't matter what type of book it is (UF, PN, YA), as long as there are vampires in it!
OCTOBER GROUP READS SCHEDULE
August 15 - September 7 ~ Nominate books (as many as you want)
September 7 - 20 ~ Poll to vote for our group reads (from nominated books)
September 20 - 30 ~ Get ahold of books
October 1 - 31 ~ Read and discuss!
I'll update the list of nominated books here. And yes, you can nominate books that were nominated before but didn't win in the poll!
First in series or stand-alone nominations
Nightwalker by Jocelynn Drake (Dark Days #1)
Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall (Immortal Guardians #1)
Tall, Dark & Dead by Tate Hallaway (Garnet Lacey #1)
High Stakes by Erin McCarthy (Vegas Vampires #1)
Continued Read Nominations
Jabril by D.B. Reynolds (Vampires in America #2)
One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (Night Huntress #2)
Thirst No. 3: The Eternal Dawn by Christopher Pike (Thirst #3)
Single White Vampire by Lynsay Sands (Argeneau #3)
In the Company of Vampires by Katie MacAlister (Ben and Fran #3)

But before I go to sleep, I wanted to throw out a couple of things for us to think on.
No specific ideas for the Sept. challenge. But like always, we should be following that same format. And I think we should have an item on our list for Labor Day...
Taryn - what you normally have been doing - finding the stuff specific to each month - can you do that here? I find it really helpful so if you don't mind doing it yet again...then I'd be happy. lol. That way Sylvie and I can add to it. Now that we have 3 people I think that will be easier than messaging. No rush on it though.
Sylvie, if you have any specific ideas for the September challenge feel free to post them here. And since you've been doing the challenges I think you can see the format we've been following, but if you have any questions just ask. :)
The other thing I wanted to throw out there is how we will be doing our group reads. Do we want to have similar questions for each book? Do we want to do chapter by chapter discussions? etc.
Now that we know which 4 books we will be reading, I think we can divide them up...but it may be worth figuring out what we will be doing for them before dividing them up. I honestly have no clue other than having discussion leaders so any ideas are appreciated.
And as always, if I'm not making any sense, just tell me so or ask. Thanks gals!

Also, I'm in another group that has "scavenger hunts" for online photos. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/5...
It's pretty fun. I don't know if this is something we'd be interested in doing. (We would make ours vampire related...we could have a new one every week or 2 with a different theme, all vamp related though.)

HYR

Which one of the stories? (it's an anthology)

I am telling myself for days now that I don't have to money for new earrings.. Now I had to chec..."
Yes! I have that too! I usually end up giving in. Or at least going to the store and looking. Then if it is something I really really don't need, I finally convince myself not to get it. But that's after I've made the trip to the store and I'm standing there looking at whatever it is I want longingly. Then when I leave the store, if I immediately regret not buying it, I turn around and buy it. Otherwise, I go home and usually by then I can forget about it.

How do you like this series?

Tiffany - This thread was for gen noms until they closed on August 5. But I keep this thread open until the polls close on the 15th. Sorry for the confusion!
