1. S is for September -
6. Vampires -

Checklist:
1. S is for September - Read a book that has a word in the title or author name that begins with the letter "S"
2. September is _______ month! - Choose one of the following:
* Hispanic Heritage MonthThen read a book that is applicable to what you chose.
* National Blueberry Popsicle Month
* Baby Safety Month
* Honey Month
* Self Improvement Month
Example: If I choose "September is Hispanic Heritage Month" I could read a book with a Hispanic character, written in Spanish, or set in Spain, Mexico, etc. This is one that there really isn't a wrong answer, so BE CREATIVE!!
3. Labor Day - Read a book that takes place on the job (yes, that's pretty broad...I imagine this will be an easy one)
4. 9/11 - Read a book set in New York state
5. Listopia Top 9 - Read a book that is in the top 9 of any Listopia list (Listopia is where goodreads members vote for books that they think best fit a particular list...there are tons of lists, so have fun exploring)
6. Vampires!! - Read a book with vampires in it!
7. For the First Time - Read a book with a character experiencing something new (first time finding out their a witch, losing virginity, etc.)
8. Continued Read - Read a book that is next in a series you're reading (book 2, 3, 4, etc. Just not Book 1)
9. Genre: Young Adult - Read a young adult book
10. Location: Hotel - Read a book that is set in a hotel for at least part of it.

This is not the challenge thread. This is just the suggestions thread.

Starts: September 1
Ends: September 30
Each month we will have a "check list" of 10 items. To check something off, all you have to do is read a book that applies to that item. So if the item is "read a book with vampires" - then once you've read a book with vampires, you can check it off.
Ten books each month is a lot, so there will be 4 different levels. So pick which level you want to do and that's how many items you will need to check off.
Levels:
Transitional - 2 books
Fledgling - 4 books
Vampire - 6 books
Master - 10 books

The only real rule (besides checking off only items that actually apply to your book) is you can't double-count books. So even if I'm reading a young adult book that has vampires in it, you have to choose whether to count that for #6 or #9.
Post what level you want and a list of the items you will check off and the books you will be reading. Please include Completed: 5/10 in your post. Then update that post each time you read a book. You can also let us know how you are doing and update us on your progress with a new post.
I know that was a lot so feel free to ask questions. If something doesn't make sense to you, chances are someone else has the same question.
Happy Reading and Good Luck!!
