Arachne paused a moment before sliding onto his lap and cuddling into him. "It will be hard to stay away from you. Especially when you say you'll protect me. Just like a man." She teased, trying to lighten the conversation.

Arachne laughed darkly, bitterly. "I doubt it."

She opened her eyes again and looked deep into his. "I don't want to do what she asks, but I know that if I don't, the consequences might be worse than if I do."

Arachne closed her eyes and pushed off with her legs to kiss him softly. "I'll be okay. I didn't die, after all. That's a good thing." She said bitterly.

Arachne shuddered. "Don't say her name. Please." She reached out slowly and pushed a hand against his face. "I'm sorry...I made you cry..."

Arachne cried in return and clutched her arms to herself. "No...No, don't be." She sobbed. "If I had just agreed in the first place and hadn't been so stubborn, none of this would have happened! It's my fault!"

"Markos, Markos that hurts!" She panted in his ear and groaned, arching into him as another rush of pain flew through her.

She gasped as the pain rushed through her again. "I can't stop thinking about it...Markos!" She remembered the pain of her scales being chopped off with the knife and panted, starting to sweat again.

She could almost feel him there. She shivered and reran through the memory. Then something happened and it took a swerve, going past how much she wanted to show him.

She took a deep breath. She didn't want to tell him, she didn't want to tell him. "Just...read my mind for a moment?" She thought of only what Suzie had asked her, not what had happened after she refused.

"I..." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I can't have you do things like that while we stay here." She felt strange, choked off, dead. She didn't want to say this.

Arachne's head fell back a little and she sighed with answering emotions. "Markos..."

Arachne moved her arms so they were laid on his shoulders. "No!" She whispered hoarsely. "It was good you didn't see it!"

She let out a little keen of pain in answer.

Arachne shuddered a bit and moved her arms away from him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry for having to lie to you. I will never forgive myself about it. But...I didn't want you to be hurt either." She repeated.

She reached her hands up tentatively to wipe at her face and move some of the tears from her eyes. "I don't really care. Just...don't. Don't think about it, I've changed my mind." She closed her eyes and leaned forwards into him, not using her arms to hug him. She still felt numb.

She shook her head in jolts. "It's just too...horrible. And please don't read my mind for it." She begged.

Arachne let out a little sigh between content and fright. "I can't tell you."

((lolz yeh. I may try in a bit though...))
She tensed. "I don't want to tell you."

She hesitated before turning around in his arms and kissing him. "I'm sorry about worrying you. I just don't want you to get hurt either."
((*sigh* Got all the character thingies done, but it too dark in my room to see my writing. :P And I'm afraid to turn on the light...))
