Hi Dana, welcome to the group and i'm glad you enjoyed books that only few did. We can't wait to discuss The Hobbit and To Kill a Mockinbird next month, stay tune and have fun reading! This is my latest and so far I fall in love to the book club, well, I joined a lot of local book clubs before and we still meet once a month to discuss books.

(Don't worry, I also joined a book club recently and every time we met we usually gossip and eat for a day. The bad thing is, they, you know, never mind. Haha.)

Hi Alex, I read (not really) and discuss The Iliad and The Odyssey when I was in high school and never enjoyed it. Maybe because I have the worst teacher that time and we don't have enough school supply (book) to be read individually. After you read Dracula, try to look for a copy of The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Good luck!

Hi Mirka, welcome to the group! I love Alexandre Dumas' works but I only read 2 so far, The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers.

@Sarah: Sure, I let you know and I might check that book out. I'm kind of slow in hunting books but I'll make sure to read that book soon. I never tried any Ukranian literature yet.

@Martha: I'm interested in reading Frankenstein in October and I also checked Halloween in Wikipedia, if you are interested we can read it on October 31st for 24 hours. If you want to, if not, I'm fine with any date. Hehe. (Sorry, we don't celebrate Halloween here in the Philippines. Hikhik.)

@Desiree and Nicolle: O my, don't worry I usually don't have time for my social life. Kidding. I think I use most of my time reading books than going outside my room because my friends are not outgoing people not like my high school friends. Haha.

@Teri: I tried to read that book when I was 16 but I did not like it. Maybe I'll read that later in life again because one of my close friends here rated that 5 stars.

I also tried some local satire books and never enjoyed them much, well, I think I have to try foreign satire. Any suggestion? I'm hoping that you don't mean to kill a mockingbird. Haha. I have to read that part again and again and it made my day!

I'm planning, no, I mean I'm going to read The Arabian Nights: Tales from a Thousand and One Nights this coming Monday until Friday after I finish reading Madame Bovary. If anyone interested please feel free to comment. Have fun, everyone!
