((Jo and Electro HAVE to escape! They're so awesome for sneaking into a high-security compound! Plus, it would be hard to capture them. They wouldn't be able to find Joey, and they wouldn't be able to touch Electro. Unless they were prepared for his shocks...

Besides it would be boring if Joey were captured. He wouldn't do much. Well... actually...

AGH. I just never planned for my boys to be captured, okay? I suppose... if we need someone else, Joey could be captured. But Electro shouldn't be.))

Electro looked at Jade coldly. "We never asked for your opinion."

Joey faded back behind Electro. He hated her flippant talk about sneaking out - he had been blamed more than enough for that.

"Fine," Electro said, managing a smile. ((Does anyone have any idea of his talent? he hasn't told anyone, but it's pretty obvious...))

"Hey, who's that girl up there with Saffy?" Joey asked, tapping Electro on the shoulder. Instantly he yanked back his hand. "Ouch! You shocked me!"

"Sorry," Electro said, rubbing his shoulder as if he could brush off the sparks. "You startled me, appearing out of nowhere like that."

"I didn't... never mind," Joey sighed. "So, who's the girl?"

(( :D Joey is really unobservant... he's been here longer than anyone and yet he still doesn't know everyone.))

"Are you okay?" Electro asked Mariola, giving up on his attempt to create electric light. He wasn't feeling to good himself; his effort had left him with a pounding headache.

((Hey y'all... I'm gonna not be able to be on the computer until... say... 7/14, so if you need to, rp Electro and Joey doing things they'd do. DO NOT make them go out of character, or else Electro will go all "LIGHTNING STRIKE!" on you.))

Um... how epic are her powers, again? Because "summoning the essence of night" sounds a little more... superpower and less supernatural.

((sorry. That's what happen to characters who don't roleplay often...

I need to review your charrie sheet and re-approve it before you join... when you do, it would be best if you met our charries in town, having possibly followed them out the tunnel.))

Electro hung back at the back of the group. He looked at the two girls summoning light, then looked at his own hands. He took off a glove and, tentatively, concentrated.

He could feel a buzzing sensation in his palm and fingers as more electricity rushed into them, but no spark.

((There is a ladder, right?))

Joey climbed down the ladder slowly. Electro double-checked that his gloves were securely on his hands before following.

((The tunnel is outside, in the backyard.))

"Let's go." Electro's bare skin was crawling with sparks, he was so excited. Joey, on the other hand, seemed almost to disappear, becoming quieter as they progressed.

Allrighty... one... two... three... TIME SKIP!!!))

It is now 10 pm and all is quiet at Edgeview. Curfew was an hour ago. Our heroes ((So cheesy ^^)) are gathering in Saffy's room. ((cuz it has a window, right? and she has a ladder?))

((...are they gonna talk about anything interesting, or should we skip ahead to sneaking out?))

"Time goes by so fast..." The group slowly started packing up, then headed downstairs to the cafeteria as the bell rang.

((Yay. Now everyone's together and no one's left out.

I can't wait till they break into the high-security compound... ^^

Electrified fences, cameras, lots of tech... my boys are gonna be so awesome. :D ))

"We'll need money, right?" Joey said. "Quarters and stuff."

"An arcade? Sweet!" Electro was delighted. With his gloves on, he was a master at practically any arcade game. It helped that the buttons and joysticks were usually plastic (an insulator rather than a conductor of electricity).

"Are... are you sure?" Joey asked. After all this time of being accused of skipping school... he didn't want to actually do it.

"Seriously?" Electro asked excitedly. "How long have you known? Where is it? Where does it go?"

"What is it?" Joey asked. He refused to acknowledge Zack's question about his nickname.
