Hi Jayme:
Thanks! Most of the stuff has been out of my control. But I am learning to roll with the punches. (I hope!) I've been reading. (How can you not read when you need to maintain a semblance of sanity?) But I've certainly not been able to be very active in this group.
I appreciate your kind words!

Jama, thanks for stepping in to help out as a moderator on the next Challenge. We're happy to have you!
I have managed to get a few books read. I'm listening to the TTtUS on CD Audio on my drive in to work. I'm on book 7 of the 10 right now. So I'm hopeful that I will finish that subchallenge.
I've only read 3 or 4 books for the other tasks. I'd better get those books posted now before it gets too close to the end of the season.
Cheers Everyone! :-)

Would this title work for this task?
Thanks for checking!

Oh no -- Thank-you! LOL

1. Carl Sandburg wrote Abraham Lincoln: The Prairie Years
2. Carl Sandburg received writing credit on the TV mini-series Lincoln which aired in 1974.
3. Sada Thompson was an actor in the Lincoln production.
4. Sada Thomspon and Ed Harris appeared together in the film Pollock (2000).
5. Ed Harris and Kevin Bacon appeared together in the film Apollo 13 (1995).
Hopefully this linkage is easier to follow. :-)

Hi Ed:
It gets confusing when both the TV Prime Time Series that Sandburg got writing credit for, and the 2012 film that I used for the Kevin Bacon degree -- were both named 'Lincoln'.
I'll see if I can find an actor in the 1974 production who links to Kevin Bacon, and didn't also have a role in the 2012 'Lincoln' film. I thought it was pretty cool to see the Lincoln connection through the decades, but I realize that it could be confusing.
Thanks!

1. Carl Sandburg wrote a multi-volume set of history books on the life of Abraham Lincoln. The first volume in the set is, Abraham Lincoln: The Prairie Years.
2. The books were made into a TV mini-series Lincoln (1974-1976) for which Sandburg received writing credit.
3. Hal Holbrook starred as Lincoln in that 1970's mini-series.
4. Hal Holbrook was in the 2012 Spielberg film Lincoln with Peter McRobbie.
5. Peter McRobbie and Kevin Bacon appeared together in the film Picture Perfect (1997)

1. Shirley Jackson wrote The Haunting of Hill House. In 1999 it was made into the feature film titled The Haunting in which she received writing credit for.
2. Lili Taylor was an actor in the film The Haunting.
3. Lili Taylor and Kevin Bacon were both actors in the movie She's Having a Baby (1988)

She works.
This task needs AT LEAST three names. Sorry, I wasn't clear on that when writing the task. Four names are also okay.

Can I get an approval for A Trick of the Light for the Canadian list?
It's currently #110 on the list, but it's bounced around a bit the last couple of weeks. I'd like to lock it in in case it goes below #125 again.
Thanks!

1. Jerome K Jerome wrote Three Men in a Boat which was made into a movie in 1956. Jerome received writing credit for the move.
2. Laurence Harvey was an actor in the Three Men in a Boat movie.
3. Laurence Harvey was in The Magic Christian (1969) with John Cleese.
4. John Cleese was in The Big Picture (1989) with Kevin Bacon

Once they get that question about this author all sorted out --- I'm fine if the author for this task has more than three names. They should have at least three names that qualify per the task outlined requirements in order for the book to qualify.
I didn't even think about authors with four names when writing up my task rules. But I would be okay with authors with four (or more) more names too.
:-)

Wow -- I didn't know that Cervantes had a second last name! I guess it shouldn't be unexpected since he was Spanish. Thanks for helping me learn something new everyday. :-)
Yes, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra does work for this task.
