I hope you get things figured out and hopefully join us next challenge."

Hi Jayme:

Thanks! Most of the stuff has been out of my control. But I am learning to roll with the punches. (I hope!) I've been reading. (How can you not read when you need to maintain a semblance of sanity?) But I've certainly not been able to be very active in this group.

I appreciate your kind words!

36119 Hi Everyone: Due to family issues, and onerous work requirements, I haven't been able to be too active in this group this quarter. I've missed you guys! This wasn't how I envisioned the state my life would be in when I was getting ready for the Fall Challenge.

Jama, thanks for stepping in to help out as a moderator on the next Challenge. We're happy to have you!

I have managed to get a few books read. I'm listening to the TTtUS on CD Audio on my drive in to work. I'm on book 7 of the 10 right now. So I'm hopeful that I will finish that subchallenge.

I've only read 3 or 4 books for the other tasks. I'd better get those books posted now before it gets too close to the end of the season.

Cheers Everyone! :-)

36119 Okay -- I'm almost to the top of the 'Hold' queue for the CD audiobook version of The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Would this title work for this task?

Thanks for checking!

Hopefully this linkage is easier to follow. :-)

Hi Ed:

It gets confusing when both the TV Prime Time Series that Sandburg got writing credit for, and the 2012 film that I used for the Kevin Bacon degree -- were both named 'Lincoln'.

I'll see if I can find an actor in the 1974 production who links to Kevin Bacon, and didn't also have a role in the 2012 'Lincoln' film. I thought it was pretty cool to see the Lincoln connection through the decades, but I realize that it could be confusing.

Thanks!

She works.

This task needs AT LEAST three names. Sorry, I wasn't clear on that when writing the task. Four names are also okay.

36119 Hi Mods:

Can I get an approval for A Trick of the Light for the Canadian list?

It's currently #110 on the list, but it's bounced around a bit the last couple of weeks. I'd like to lock it in in case it goes below #125 again.

Thanks!

36119 Hi Will:
Once they get that question about this author all sorted out --- I'm fine if the author for this task has more than three names. They should have at least three names that qualify per the task outlined requirements in order for the book to qualify.

I didn't even think about authors with four names when writing up my task rules. But I would be okay with authors with four (or more) more names too.

Wow -- I didn't know that Cervantes had a second last name! I guess it shouldn't be unexpected since he was Spanish. Thanks for helping me learn something new everyday. :-)

Yes, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra does work for this task.
