I miss walking into bookshops and picking books largely based on how fat the spine was. Would be a useful start for this type of task.

Will wait and see if anyone gets lost in one of my black text on cover books. Both are short unfortunately.

Monsters inc is still a great film, but I think you got the better half of that deal.

After all the difficulty finding soul-suck for dementors, it's come up repeatedly in Soulless. Will have to remember the series if we get dementors again.

It's nice when you can enjoy the nostalgia of these things! Unfortunately HP has not held that status for me.


I can't believe the LOTR films are that old. Surely not... That would be the time I first read the books because you have to read the book before you watch the film and I already knew that in my teens.

Yeah, that's no problem.

Any order! They work reasonably well as stand alone books so I'm not being picky for once.

My read though Agatha Christie is moving again! Enjoyed this and as ever didn't work it out.

The page number curse seems to have refound us - either a chunkster (during uno when long isn't actually better) or almost too short.

In a surprise turn of events, a friend has just invited me to country2country at the O2 for the Sunday night after chat about going months ago in wheels.

Just spun - it's tricky to choose which wheel now there are more than 5! I've gone for having 5 different types on the go but another bad romance was v tempting.

Might also be a novel delusion.

Sorry my reading has slowed to a snail pace at the moment. Really hoping I can pick it up again soon - especially since I have 4hrs approx left for a book due back at the library tomorrow.

Brave monster hunters, do you have any suggestions for a book where the phrase soul-sucking is used?

We've found devouring, searching, fracturing and even rending, but sucking is somewhat lacking.
