35559 Last year I managed all but 1 of the books I had on my list from this - some of which had been on my tbr for about 10 years and I'd been avoiding for no discernible reason. Time to try again!

135 The Serpent's Tale
74 King of the Murgos 4*
45 Remember When
177 Lolita
274 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
32 Holy Sister
336 Letters from Father Christmas
231 The Remains of the Day
113 Something's Guava Give
242 To the Lighthouse

35559 Hi Angela, you can make a start whenever you would like!

Yay! Thank you Sammy and hubby.

I wouldn't count any of the characters in this as strong or powerful. All v flawed.

35559 The Outsider by Albert Camus

Started this prewheel and finished after. 3 month hiatus did it no favours.

35559 Magpie murders has boredom in the text according to Google books but it doesn't give a page number and it's the last word of a sentence so they give me boredom. then the next sentence. I'm listening to the audio and don't have a way to get the actual number or the full sentence.

Not a bad ending to the series. Enjoyed it more than some of the other installments!"

That's the only one of the series I have left. Thank you for bumping it up my tbr

Think my resolution this year should be to either make progress on the many series I have on the go or to abandon them!

35559 A year of team challenges can do that!

35559 "tagged ""heroine"" (5 or more times)"

For this task would the heroine being embedded in a large tag i.e strong-heroine be acceptable?

35559 Complete with voices!
Dec 31, 2024 02:41AM

35559 And I've added a load of kids books so target is officially met for the year!

35559 Tagged heroine 5 times or more is frustrating. Slave to Sensation has tags for virgin-heroine, strong-heroine and kickass-heroine that meet the tag number.

35559 I'm about to finish soulminder which will work for 4.

Having a debate with myself - I'm 16 books short of my reading goal this year. If I add the picture books I've read the kids I can easily meet it, but feels a bit like cheating!

35559 Yay Carmen! Well done!

Cat - good work on the double checking

35559 20 books in the year I think is a sensible target!

1. Magpie Murders 4/5
2. Second Chance Pass 4/5
3. How To Be A Liberal 4/5

35559 Diary of a wimpy kid is a very good series.

If you haven't already tried them (and can get them in Hungary), we also enjoy reading the 13 storey treehouse series.

35559 I've got 3 left. Can definitely get 1 of those read. 1 I'm not enthusiastic about and the last is an absolute chunkster so time might be against me.

35559 Woohoo! Well done everyone!

It's been an absolute joy being on a team with you all.

Amazing thank you! Squeeze all those lovely points from every book!
