I've got a bicycle book from my library but it'll take me at least a week to get to with the other books I've got planned.
In the hopes of avoiding panics - as books are finished and moved over the official spreadsheet, I will be using the filter at the top of column S to hide them. If you want to see them, please use the triangle shape at the top of the column to unfilter it.
It can be used twice in the same itinerary. But once we've used it twice we can't use it in any other itineraries.
As we complete tasks in mini 2, new task will appear as if by magic. Once a country is complete in mini 3, then we will ask on the captain's group for another country to be spun for us.
The first column of each of the minis has a code that looks like A1 etc. if you enter this into the mini code column on the main books page, the formulas will enter it into the mini tab. Please don't enter anything on the mini tabs or it all gets confused. If you aren't sure, please post in this thread where you think a book will fit into the minis and someone else can enter that info into the sheet.
Andy I have the same view with a variety of children's books. Sometimes they need a selection of books that have absolutely no meaning at all beyond characters.
Denise wrote: "I do have several books that I want to read fairly soon that aren't from a hard country. I am finding that while I enjoy reading books from other countries, most are from the other easier countries..."They'll all fit somewhere and even if they don't it's not a problem at all! Main thing is to keep reading and enjoying your books.

Unfortunately not as we can only count books that we start reading after the start of the challenge i.e. 9am GMT tomorrow.
Glad I'm not the only one! I'm enjoying it too much to want to leave it until the end of the challenge but will feel guilty reading it and not getting points.
I've got murderbot in my head as more female presenting so have no interest as it's going to miss my images either way!argh for 24 hours to go! I have mistimed one of my current reads horribly - Dorothy Dunnett takes me too long to read and I'm at 30%.
Tomorrow I've got a work meeting all morning (no rest for the wicked!) before both my munchkins have a kickboxing assessment. They last an hour and there is an hour gap between the end of one and the start of the next, but the location is 40 mins from my house. Going to be a lot of hanging about trying to keep smaller humans entertained.
Enjoy your world travels Sammy! I need to look at the SS and see where I might be able to fill in some gaps.
Thank you everyone! I haven't yet read The Man in the Brown Suit so that's a target for this challenge.
Excellent list, thanks Keli!I'm trying to remember which Agatha Christie books were set abroad as I know I've read a few set in Turkey and the Middle East
I've noticed (somewhat slow given that I've seen the taks for a while) that we would get more points using the Easy books in mini 1 (where they are worth 5) in mini 2 or 3 where they are worth 10.My approach to maximise points would be to prioritise books from easy countries into mini 2 or 3, then to fill up the easy itinerary slots.
The way to fully max out points on minis would be to have 8 hard countries and 3 medium in the itineraries but even I am not insane enough to think that's a good approach!
The other thing to bear in mind with all of this is you read more if you are actually enjoying the books! If you start something for a task and don't like it, please don't struggle on. Let us know and cut your losses!
Keli wrote: "I’m in a group that has done a fab job listing books by country. I’ve posted the link for Africa below. There are folders for each continent and separate posts for each country. It’s another handy ..."This is great thank! The more places we can find things the better.
Andy wrote: "Melindam wrote: "BOM threads for June books have been created in case you'd like to volunteer for DQs. 😊..."have just reserved all three in the library... won't volunteer for anything yet until I..."
That's my standard approach to them, unless it's something I'm v keen on.
I'd recommend something by Home Free who were recommended to me during one of the previous wheel challenges.
KayLynn wrote: "When I log into the spreadsheet today, it says I'm 'view only' and all of the data we input isn't showing."The most likely thing that's happened is you've opened the official sheet from the first Mod message, rather than the tracking sheet from Mel's messages.
