I used to only read 2 to 5 books a month. But the last two years or so it has slowly evolved into a book a day. Sometimes more. Escapism at it's finest. And healthier than binge drinking.
I just guessed on my cap, since reading this much is new, but I'm going to easily hit it each month with the rate I'm going.

The book I finished this AM is signed up for 'KEBAB' in title, but it also had a town market several of the characters shopped at.
I can change it if anyone else has Kebab? OR - there are three other books in the series I'll be reading this week, so I can wait and see if they go back to the market?
Thoughts?

Finished which could cover red, white and blue cover for France if we wanted to finish that country up. Otherwise I'll let it hang out until it fits something in Mini 2. (I'm happy either way. I just had to finish it to get it back to the library.)
I added it to the spreadsheet but haven't signed it up for anything yet.

I finished The Shadow King for Ethiopia in Mini 1. It's listed in the second itinerary, so I'll let you spreadsheet magicians move it so I don't screw anything up. Just an FYI.

For "unearthly mode" of transportation, can that also include fantasy? Can it be...like...riding on a dragon?

Found a book with an author from Turkey finally! The Girl in the Tree Turns out I already purchased it (was a freebie) at some point. I'll sign up for that when I finished The Shadow King that I'm reading right now. It's not particularly well rated, so I'm not sure why I bought it....but if Fiona can survive Lolita than I can take one for the team too.😉

I have Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free and is definitely a non-fiction survival story. I can take that if Kari's book fits elsewhere. It IS set in Chile, which we could use for mini 1 as well. Same amount of points. (I've been assuming it would go in Mini 1.)

I've never read anything by Emily Henry or Mariana Zapata and I'm having some serious FOMO right now... 😂

Do we add stuff to the BOM tab manually? And I'm trying to understand how the posts work. Do we have to pre-sign up for the day posts? Or do we decide whose posts count when the timeframe is up?

Does it have to be 'culture' specifically? Or can if be 'cultural' or 'world culture' or...something else culture related?

Sooo...my book Hot Blooded is signed up for published in December in Mini 2, but there is a character in the series named Ulrik. I'll switch that over to Turkey (just guessing that U is going to be way harder to fill...).

Also means Read a book first published in December of any year is open again.

@Ingeborg I hope you like The Bone Witch. I read the whole series a couple months ago. SO SO good.

I feel like how they made this list was take the 8000 most read books of all time into one list and called it awful. lol
There are several already on my TBR. ha!

I just started it, but so far it's pretty great. It's been in the cat's point of view, which is just snarky and hilarious.

Edited to add: I just finished it. It was so good. Be prepared for it to wreck you there at the end. In a really beautiful way. (Have tissues handy!)

I told myself that too. But then have added like a billion new books trying to find things to fit the tasks. It may be time I just admit defeat and let my TBR be the monster it was meant to be.

I do have an author born in France book . I'll sign up for the spot in a day or so when I'm back down to less than four tasks signed up. Or if someone else wants to beat me to it...this looks like a great book.
