I read one recently for another challenge thinking it was China that we needed, but we needed Southeast Asia and it's in East Asia. It was a re-read but at least I loved the book and could use it in other places, just not the challenge I read it for. LOL

Erin, I've "claimed" spots because my book fits BUT I have also said that if anyone reads for one of those minis first they should absolutely feel free to remove mine and add theirs...no hard feelings! It's a team effort, so I am fine with any of mine being moved around. This last round I got a bit overly excited, although I'm not sure why, and added a lot of my books making me look greedy. lol (No worries, I don't think you were saying I am greedy or pointing fingers at me.) But I was excited to see open spots and that so many of my books did fit. The hardest ones for me are on the ADMIN mini.

The foods list doesn't repeat the countries list, so that's why I'm inquiring about that one. I think most of us could add to the foods list IF we don't have to wait for the countries list to get finished.

Ashley, I'm a bit confused about the minis. Family mini, for example, still has one country left to be read for. Can we add books finished to the A: Cooking from Scratch list below the countries or does the countries list have to be finished first? I have some books that could be used elsewhere but we're not done so repeats aren't OK yet. Just need clarification on A: Cooking from Scratch

Ditto! I just read a couple books that only worked for one letter. Better than none! 😂

Ashley, I finished The Leftover Woman and when I first posted it, I only knew the title. I now have more letters that could be used if you need to move things around. Just FYI.

Ashley, I finished a book that will fit G46, but so it could replace the other book I have there. I finished The Night We Lost Him but it doesn't have an F character. The character names don't work well at all so all I have is an L for the AFN and E for Elliot (FN) but it also has vinegar, coffee table, and piano.

Did I go a little crazy on the Gardening mini? Anyone who reads for any of those before I get to them feel free to add yours instead. I didn't mean to hog that one! LOL

Oh, I forgot to say that I posted my OKRA book last night. We still have a couple books claimed but not read so I can't add anything to the minis.

OK finished my G20 book and posted it. On to the OKRA book. lol

I found an OKRA book and will read it after I finish my other book, unless someone else has a book or wants to read this: Louisiana Longshot

9) I'm enjoying the variety of people and creatures (for lack of a better word) in the story. Do you have a favorite? Is there one you'd dream up and like to see wandering the island?

I have to agree with a couple others and say that I really like the cloud bears. No, I don't have a good imagination to "dream up" something to wander the island.

10) If you could have a helper sentient plant, what type would you choose and why?

Oh my gosh, I would definitely pick dancing lady plants, Dancing Lady Orchids in particular. I love how pretty they are, the name of them makes me feel happy, and I am a dancing lady too. I think "she" would help me to stay positive through difficult times.

11) Do you think it is remotely realistic that Kiela can keep her activities secret? And with the trouble at the center of the empire, would any of those in power notice or care?

I seriously doubt that she can keep it secret, and no way would those at the center of the empire not care!

12) Radane, trouble for Kiela in more ways than one?

I know the answer to that question so I can't truly answer except to say that I am definitely thought Radane would bring more trouble prior to knowing whether that's true or not...but I won't say.



13) Previous questions have touched on this but I'm thinking Kiela has avoided sharing what's happening with the revolution as a trauma response. If she doesn't talk about it than she can almost ignore it? It makes me wonder what happened to her parents. Like the library became her home/only place she felt safe after losing them and then it literally burned before her eyes. Anyone have thoughts about why she still isn't sharing to the point of literally running away?

Considering the trauma she experienced I'm not sure, but I think she was simply afraid of the consequences.

Well, I appreciate all you do! It’s taken up a lot of my time away from the computer while hubby has been home more. Thursday is his birthday so he might take another sick day Wednesday. He has 5 days he either gets paid for or a “vacation” day BUT he can’t take any of his “sick” days with his vacation time. Go figure. 😂
