Thanks, I will give it a try again this year because it is (once again) on my list for this challenge 😂 It is now one of my oldest being added in 2015

Anatomy of a Soldier by Harry Parker
such an amazing book. So glad I decided to read and not just delete. I'm not much of a war book person so I went into this hesitantly but it is totally unique, and beautiful and moving

35559 #4 done. I may have to increase my goal for the year...

In the Shadow of the Banyan by Vaddey Ratner
This was added in 2016 and I am visiting Cambodia this year so it seemed like the right time to finally read it!
Not an easy read at all, but important that we don't forget. Loved the author's note at the end about how her own story inspired this and all the characters were fictionalised other than her father who she kept as he was in tribute to him

Yes ! A few novellas actually. Finally getting to them! 😬

35559 There's no excuse to have a novella sitting on my shelf for 7 years I know *hangs head*. Especially when it is Sanderson.
But, hey, I got there! And loved it

35559 #2 completed
Silver Bay by Jojo Moyes

This was one of Moyes' oldies that I hadn't ever gotten to, and it was... as expected I guess. Not her finest, but not a difficult or unpleasant read

Sure. And if you’d like to change your goal and stretch yourself just adjust the number in your spreadsheet (cell I2) 😊

Omg, those ones under your spoiler were hillarious. I was driving at the time - luckily no kids in the car. haha!
I really liked the narrator of Dina, but I just started book 4 and they have changed her. boo
--edit... although maybe that is as this book seems to be about Maud and not Dina?.... 🤷‍♀️ I really should read the synopsis before starting books. haha (view spoiler)

Congrats!
As MJ mentioned, most of us post here with what we read, edit our original comment and you can also update the spreadsheet to show your books read number. Each month we post everyone’s % to goal based on the s/sheet data so it is a good one to keep updating :)

35559 Finished the full cast of Sweep in Peace (Innkeeper Chronicles, #2) by Ilona Andrews , thanks for the rec. Mel!
I actually like the different voice actors, it is just the background noises/music can be distracting sometimes. I also had the ebook and was following along to see the differences, and they are really minor. Some paras get swapped around or a sentence may lose an article. I kind of like that it is edited to work better on audio 🤷‍♀️

I've decided to try the same for book 3
